Any of you have any hotel recommendation for NYC - I'm most interested in the area between Grand Central Station/Time Square/Central Park areas as I'll be coming into Grand Central Station next Sunday AM, but will need to be in the upper west area of Central Park for early Monday AM.(got tix to see Live w/Regis & Kelly!)

I'd like something not extremely expensive - around $200/nite would be fine, as long as it's a nice, clean hotel. I've been hearing about the bed bug situation in NYC so am a little leary of going with the cheapest!!!

Any thoughts? recommendations? A friend of mine recommended the Hilton Towers but I'll entertain other ideas. TIA.

we stayed at the Renaissane Times square 5 nights at the beginnihg of Jan/06 Great location, and the rooms wre nice (very nice bathroom too). Adequate service (not outstanding and not bad, a little indiferent at times) We paid $178/night on a prepaid AAA deal. Check out the web.

Priceline works really well in NYC. We got the Hilton at West 53rd/Avenue of the Americas last February for $98.00 a night. And a few years ago we got the Waldorf for $150.00 a night.

Be sure to check out biddingfortravel.com first, before you bid.

Try Priceline. I got the Marriott Marquis in Times Square for $150/night last year. It was a nice hotel, perfect location.

I second Priceline and using biddingfortravel.com. For the times I don't stay with my friend, I use Priceline. I've never been disappointed.
