Any non-buffet charactor meals?

Planning our Sept pilgramage to WDW with DS and DD. Are there any non-buffet options for charactor meals besides CRT? DS will be just shy of 4 and DD will be 2.5. We did the charactor buffets with them last year and it was just too much after a day in the parks. Any ideas?

We will have our car and don't mind (actually enjoy) going to other resorts, but will probably only visit MK park this trip.

Ohanas Best Friends Breakfast--at POLY (love this one)
and
Garden Grill at Epcot
are both Character meals but food is served Family style.
They bring all the food to you "as much a you want to eat"
and the Characters come to your table.

Those two are two of my family's favorites! Great food and great character interaction.

'Ohana offers Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch for breakfast. While Garden Grill has farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale for dinner.

Another option for you would be Akershus for the princesses. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Another vote for Garden Grill. We loved it on our last trip and have it booked in August too. Lots of character interaction which my boys loved.

This trip is my mom and I with the LO's. I know she'd probably love to take the kids to Akershus since she is Norweigan herself. We weren't planning on going to Epcot this time, so I better not tell her! We are close to Orlando though, so we can always go another time.

Or maybe I should tell her and see if she'll spring for an extra day of park tickets! Totally kidding...maybe...

Besides the previously mentioned restaurants, Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast, lunch, & dinner) would be another option for a non-buffet character meal. Not sure if CRT would interest you or not, but just letting you know your options.

we have done liberty tavern. They bring plates and bowls to your table. The characters such as minnie goofy and chip and dale come to each table.

That is perfect - thank you! I have an ADR there currently and didn't even know they had charactors there! You just made my day!!

I thought they canceld that?? We did it in 2007, but there were no characters there in 2009.

Yep, sad to say LTT is no longer with characters (we too loved it) They recently did again for a short while during a refurb of CP. But it is not a character meal anymore

I think akershus is also a family style bfast. For dinner they have buffet appetizers and plated entrees.
LTT no longer has characters, I loved it when it did tho. It was a must do for us.

sadly i found out i was wrong the characters are gone from liberty tavern i guess its been a couple years since we were there, but the food is good!!

That's okay. We ended up being able to get a late breakfast at O'hana's best friends. I think it will actually work out better. Plus i'm so excited to see the Poly!!
