I wonder how the new Evening EMH went yesterday?

Crowd size?
Wait Times?
Attractions open?
Problems with off site guests?
ETC. ETC...................

M.K. Wednesday night was a huge success that was well attended. Almost exactally what was expected attendance wise. Wait time at Peter Pan/Pooh maxed out at 30 min. Space Mt maxed at 25 min with Splash/BTM a walk on most of the evening. Jungle/Speedway had about a 15 min wait max. All the major attractions were open except Toontown, TSI, Tiki, COP & Timekeeper. Of course small world and Alien are closed. Just like early opening there are issues with off site Guests but they are handled on an individual basis The only issue has been early arrivals on Sun/Thurs, MK's normal early opening days.

Sounds great. I really hope they decide to keep doing this. I would much prefer an evening extra hour than getting up at the crack of dawn. Some of us just aren't morning people.;)

I've heard a few reports on MK.....

But what about the other parks???

Really curious how well it is working at AK?

Seems like there would great benefit at AK because the park is so hot during the day.

If it's just one hour and the wait times are 25 - 30 minutes, then can you really enjoy more than 2 attractions during the nighttime EMH? It's a nice idea, but I still think that EMH in the morning offers the guest much more value. You can see 5-7 attractions during the EMH morning at MK, and then you can leisurely see many more attractions (with shorter lines) afterwards.

You can strategize an EMH morning, early afternoon, and late afternoon.

With the evening version, what do you do? "Let's save Peter Pan and Space Mountain for EMH tonight." Only to find each with 30 minute lines.

Not saying it's a bad idea, it just doesn't seem as good as morning EMH, especially at MK.

Just got back from WDW last night and the extra magic hours at night were great. It is "3" hours after park closing. We went to Animal Kingdom and walked right in to the Festival of the Lion King; there were a lot of people but it wasn't full. We also walked right on to the Safari. There were lots of animals out but there were lots of animals each time we rode during the week. The only other park we went to at night was Epcot; it was very busy. I think it's a good thing it was well attended; maybe they'll continue to do this.
