Long Islander here...originally from Newburgh, now a resident of Patchogue. But a lover of WDW...our home away from home. 200 at VWL; after our stay this Nov. at Vero and BCV we'll have tried all DVC homes in FL.

Saratoga County checking in here. (270 at VWL and 210 more going through the paper work at OKW):earsboy:

If you ever decide to become a DVC'er you will wonder what took you so long. But hey, that's life. We own Boardwalk and are now going through the paperwork to buy at HH. This keeps my "juices" flowing since my husband retired and I have to work. Bummer.

:( But at least I have GREAT vacations to look forward to!

:) :earsgirl:

WELCOME HOME!!! It looks like some fellow NYer's decided to join in.

For those of you thinking of staying at the Plaza, here's a link to my incredible experience there: Plaza Hotel

It was fun to be a NYC "tourist" for a couple of days.;)

Believe me, Kay I hear you! I feel ready! Dh wants more time, though. So I'm twidding my thumbs, waiting...

:earseek: 200 pts. at BVC here in Goshen, NY. DW and I both work in Manhattan and live in the country! It's nice to see several Disney addicts living so close by.

As the family downstate says we are UPSTATERS! Born in Brooklyn ,raised on Long Island and live outside of Saratoga Springs where the horses are at play right now. We own at BW and at HH been to both as well as VB and on the Wonder.

Another upstater! Hornell, Steuben County, between Rochester and Corning. Will be going home to Hilton Head for Thanksgiving, and again in March.:D

:) :) :)

N. Westch. Cty, with 300 pts at BWV.

Yes, NY area airports are hassle-magnets, but I usually fly
out of Newark because it's easier to get in and out of.

Hartford now has Southwest, which usually has cheap flights to Orlando (just depends on availability).

Been Home a couple times now and looking forward to next
trip with 1 1/2 yr old DD.

YeeHaa, after all, I bought into DVC with her in mind - ;)

See you in Happyland.
:) :) :)

Hey Kathy we went Home to HH last Thanksgiving ordered the roast turkey through Disney and it was fabulous! Heard that you can do the same through Piggly Wiggly which is a hop skip & a jump for a better price.

We are from Clifton Park NY, upstate!

New owners, 350 pts at BCV, June 2002.

They never informed us that we could wait till they approved NY and still get $75 pt so we traveled down to FL for our purchase.
Wish they could have let us in on this important info.!!

Anyway, we can't wait to go home next June!!

It is great to see other upstaters on this thread. We went to the track today, athough we were not big winners, oh well!;)

Hello from a Long Islander also, Welcome Home

We own 250 pts at VWL and have been a member since July 2001. We've stayed at both HH and BWV and are scheduled for a 4 day DCL in Oct with a stay afterward at VWL. This will be our first time to our Home resort.

We bought site unseen. It seems many of us do the same thing.

Again welcome home.

Well...I didn't vote because I now live over the river in NJ. Born in Queens, raised in Staten Island (PS 4, IS 34 and Tottenville HS)and College at SUNY Geneseo (in Geneseo, NY near Rochester).

We have 222 points at BWV (have not yet been their). We spent end of April and Early May at home at HH and we're going home Columbus Day week to OKW.

Welcome Home! :)

Hi fellow NYers

I am waiting for the papers to sign about buying additional points from Disney. We are adding 125 BC points to our already 200 BWalk points. Have never been to any, but am planning on going to HH in February. (as soon as my use year points come available) We'll get to our home resorts someday.

When I spoke to my guide at Disney yesterday, I was told that this special offer was only for NYers and will only be available for the next two weeks. We jumped on it because it really fit our plans. Then a few hours later, we got the word from our mechanic that our car needs major repairs ($1,700). Spent alot of money yesterday. That's life, at least I have something to look forwrd to with some of it.

Hello to my fellow New Yorkers from beautiful Rensselaer County, just East of Albany.

HBC

We have 295 points in 3 different places.

I have lived in 4 of the 5 boroughs of NYC.
Born in Bklyn., grew up in Queens(Rockaway), went to college in the Bronx(Riverdale), lived and worked in Manhattan. I have been to SI, usually on the way to a Bruce concert in NJ meadowlands! Now we live "in the country" in Rockland county, 20 min. north of Manhattan.

NY'ers are the no. 1 in ownership of DVC. I think NJ is right up there too.

OH-IT IS OCEAN AVENUE IN BKLYN.

Another Long Islander here, 220 pts. at OKW.

LOL @ Westchester being considered upstate. :)

Okay, the latest tally shows the Upstaters and the Long Islanders are running neck to neck.

Come on you Upstaters!!! Let's stand up and say "HEY!! We're here and we don't all live a half mile from the Canadian border!":p :p :p

nezy - I was born in Riverdale & lived there to age 5. Also, you have me beat by one borough. ;)
Have you ever gone to Gaelic Park?
