The two main benefits in my mind would be the AP discount and the Moonlight Magic parties. Moonlight Magic won't be happening again any time soon and who knows when APs are going to be for sale again.
The only way it makes sense is if there are additional benefits; but what would they be? An increase right now with no real direct benefits would have a negative effect and just move buyers to resale. Unless they assume that their current buyers are unaware of the resale market.

I just got off the phone, and when I asked to confirm that 100-points was the blue card minimum, was told that was the case "for now". I then asked specifically about 10/19 and he confirmed that as well, but didn't volunteer it.
(I'll be a first-time owner! I'm calling back Monday to lock it in, as I want my 10-day back-out period to extend until the 13th.)

I'd have to go back and look but I think your 10 day period doesn't start until you sign. Might even be until closing if I remember the verbiage right. Definitely don't quote me on that though.

You're right. The 10 day cancel period doesn't start until the contract is signed. I'm currently in the process of buying direct. I changed which home resort I wanted to buy before my 10 days was up and just got a new contract lol

Decided to go with AKV. Already own resale there and it's our favorite resort. Was going to go with OKW (which we like also) but it just didn't feel like the correct decision.
Thinking about jumping into the direct buying pond before the increase. I plan to buy BCV resale but would also like a small direct contract. Was thinking about CCV, but read the difficulty getting studios there, even at 11 month mark. This small contract would just be for a couples trip and we can be flexible with the resort. Which property has the best value now?
Thinking about AKV if it is in the top 3 for value.
If you like stay at CCV and BCV I would purchase at both. Both need home points to reserve. Studios are not impossible in the 11 month window at CCV I feel it is over exaggerated.
