I'm a Houston Rockets fan. Prospects look good this year...if we can keep T-Mac & Yao healthy. Big if...

Do you go to many NBA games? I live only 20 miles from where the San Antonio Spurs play. I go to one or two games there per year. I try to get to Houston at least once a year.

DH is a huge fan. He insisted that our firstborn be named after his favorite player :rolleyes1 .

We don't really live near a team, but I did buy him tickets to the Toronto game when they played against the man we named our son after.

I watch all the games on tv, but oldest ds 20 is a huge fan. He goes to the NBA draft every year, last year he was on ESPN for like 2 seconds coming out of the subway and this year he met the Lopez brothers at a promotion on the street and won a few prizes from the sponsor for spinning a ball on his finger the longest etc. He goes to the Knicks games and is also going to be the JV basketball coach at his old school, last 2 years he was the assistant coach for varsity. He used to play but hurt his khees really bad so that is out in college now. His favorite players are Kobe,Shack and Dirk N. from the Mavericks. He lives and breathes basketball.

Hi Joy! My BIL named his firstborn after Michael Jordan. I wanted to name our son after Nolan Ryan (my all-time favorite baseball player), but alas, our son came out our daughter! :lmao:

My favorite all-time player is Hakeem Olajuwon. He's being inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame this year. My favorite current player is Tracy McGrady.

Another Rockets fan here. Nice to see them beat the Mavs to go 2-0. I haven't been to a game since they moved into Toyota Center, but hoping to this season. I saw a lot of games in the Summit/Compaq Center when they played there.

Yeah, that win in Dallas was sweet!

The Toyota Center is awesome! DW & I are going to see the Rockets on Jan. 17 against the Heat. That's going to be my Christmas present. :goodvibes

I love Toyota Center. We go to a couple of Aeros Games each season. It's the only time we can afford to sit at Club level (about a fourth the cost of Club level for a Rockets game) :goodvibes

Yeah, we sit in the rafters due to the cost. ;)

Remember 1981 & 1986? Celtics over Rockets 4-2 in the finals both years. Rockets finally broke through in '94 & '95. party:

94 and 95 were great. I knew they would win game 7 over the Knicks on the first basket. Horry slammed it home to open the scoring at 2-0 and just from the intensity he showed I knew the Rockets wouldn't lose that night.

Next year I knew it was their year again when they came back from being 20 points down to Orlando and Nick "the brick" Anderson missed four straight free throws at the end of game 1. :cool1:

When they won in '94, I jumped up to celebrate & broke my mom's ceiling fan! :headache:

Use to be a Celts fan GO 33! I now go with a western team, generally the suns, but I really just enjoy the game.

I'm a Chicago Bulls fan and my fav player is Andres Nocioni! He isn't the best but I think he's a heck of a lot of fun to watch :D He's always doing something odd on the court. I will not be naming any kiddies after him though, lol :) I haven't been to a game in a few years but I would like to go again soon. It just always ends up being so expensive once you factor in everything.

Thank you Houston for beating Dallas. Not that I don't like the Mavs, but we are still pretty mad at Kidd for his attitude and behavior prior to the trade.

We have been Nets fans, but don't think they will be going anywhere this year. Liked what the Knicks were showing until they played Philly last night . It may be a lean year round here! I think we have become Hornets fans, mainly because of Chris Paul.

Guess I'll just wait for college bball to get rolling. Now, that's fun to watch! Guys who play all out because every game matters. Can't beat March Madness! Maybe we will even catch a game or two at DS's D3 school.

Rockets beat the team formerly known as the Supersonics to go 3-0 :goodvibes

I don't watch a lot of college games, but keep up on who is winning. I do watch as much as possible when March Madness comes around.
