If so, first and foremost, Godspeed to your children - we will be praying for their safe return. Our country owes them a huge debt of gratitude

But I was wondering- how do you do it? My kids are young (10 and 7) and I cannot imagine how I would handle a single moment of knowing they were in harm's way, never-the-less what you have to ensure. How do you handle it?

I am truly amazed by the brave men and women defending our country, and by their parents, spouses and children as well.

Thank you.

You pray a lot. My son is still in training due to an injury or he'd being going too. Military familes know that there is always a possibility that they'll be called but it doesn't make things any easier. These parents with children are a special breed. As are the spouses and children of the military. They are especially proud! They lean on each other and on their faith to get them through. And it is very scary but when your child feels so strongly about what he/she is doing you find the strength to go through your day to day.

Thank you for caring and supporting our sons/daughters. With God's help they'll all be home soon.

Melissa
