Any men wearing Crocs?

I bought a pair last summer for my DBF. We were at the mall and his feet were killing him. I found a pair of navy in his size and told him to put them on. Needless to say he walked out of the store wearing them and wore them everyday including our trip to Disney in Sept! He loves them!

Have I entered into a new dimension where I find it acceptable to throw away the stylish little strappy sandal and instead wear the box they came in? Are Crocs really beings from another world who are taking over our planet one foot at a time? Hmmmmmm...definitely something to ponder, isn't is?

ROFL!!! I am right there with you! I think I look pretty darn cute in them now- I just KNEW they were hideous when I bought them...
And DH does look really good in shorts and Khaki Crocs... I think I may have contributed to his delusional state

I agree with the poster several above. We were in the parks a few weeks ago, and thought they looked ridiculous on everyone. At least it gave us something fun to do in lines.

I have spent many an hour in the parks and have never had a problem with your basic pair of good reeboks providing both support and comfort.

My dh said "No way, no how!"...until dd8 got a pair and wore them nonstop for a week. Then, I broke down and got a pair...that day dh says to me "Let's go to the store...just to try a pair on!". We left with TWO pairs for him! He loves them! He loves that he can just slip them on and off and the comfort. He has considered getting a pair for his office at work...but hasn't dared that yet!

I mentioned these to my dad who is a 59 y.o. firefighter because he has plantar fascia and I thought they might help around the house. To be honest I figured once he saw them he wouldn't even consider it, and think I was mad. Yesterday when I was talking to him he said some of the guys he works with were wearing them and one told him where he could get a slightly discounted pair. "Ok.... Who are you and what have you done with my father???"

I saw Mario wearing the Crocs too. Just on another show. He went riding off on a motor scooter wearing a bright purple pair. Too funny!

LOL he has them in every color, he has a nice bright orange pair too!

I have sciatica, which mostly presents when I am standing still for more than 5 minutes. I have had some great luck with my crocs and doing things like washing dishes. You won't know till you get a pair, but I think it's a safe bet.

I've been curious about crocs and have one questions. Has anyone worn them in the heat and humidity of a WDW summer? The thing that keeps me from purchasing them is the fact that they are plastic and the thought of my feet sweating and sliding around in them all day not to mention the odor, are my fears well founded? I normally alternate between a pair of Tevas and a pair of Birks and crocs are cheaper. I kinda like the loud colors . What style(s) would you recommend?

I'm not sure if it's age or being secure with myself....but I think they're the most conmfortable shoes I've ever worn and don't care who thinks they're ugly.

I am however amazed that this would be the cause of "adults" snickering about what someone else might be wearing

I will be wearing a pair all summer, and especially at WDW in August ! I am 36, and my Dad wears a pair also. They are super comfy, and our Orthopedic Doctor highly recommended them.

Oh please. Adults "snicker" about all kinds of things about other people, and these things are certainly deserving of it.

I think DH would wear these, especially in the summer, but what kind is the most masculine? The ones with the holes on the top look a little girly to me.

We are going to WDW in April and I'm thinking of getting us some!

That's great for you.
But there are a lot of us (men and women) who have tried lots of different shoes and still end up with sore, aching feet after a day(or 10) in the parks.

For our trip last year, I spent several months trying to find comfortable shoes. I ended up bringing several pairs of good running shoes to WDW and even tried several different kinds of insoles. No matter what I did, after a few hours in the park, my feet were hurting.

I agree that Crocs are ugly, especially on men, but I've decided I'm going to try some anyway. As I've gotten older, I've started to care less and less what other people think, especially about something as shallow as whether or not my shoes are ugly. If I can walk around the parks without my feet hurting, I really don't care what I look like.

I'm sorry, but I have to jump in here. I wouldn't be banking on "reviews" on the official Crocs website as an impartial source of info about Crocs. Only reviews that help them sell shoes are going on that site. Or has this site become the official resale site for Crocs now?

I'm a sixth-grade teacher and wear Crocs everyday to teach in. I am on my feet all day, and need to be comfortable, so I bought a pair in chocolate with no holes. They look fine with my khakis, so I don't worry.

Now I have 4 other teachers in the building wearing Crocs as well! They are great for teachers!

They are making them a little more "stylish" lately. I also have a pair with the holes on the bottom part for the summer, in khaki, but I don't wear those to work!

Crocs are on my feet now here at school!

The way I see it...with all the wonderful things to look at at WDW, if someone is looking at my house and spending time worrying about how ugly they are...they have bigger problems!
