After my PE flights this October I will have enough miles accrued between the five of us to book the four PE flights to California I want for next August.

Although the flights are bookable in September I can't book them until I'm back from Florida on November 1st as I need those miles added on to have enough. I called Virgin to ask how I redeem the miles and was told they only allow so many seats on each flight to be booked with airmiles:( I wanted to fly into san Francisco and not sure if we want to fly back from Las Vegas or LA.I'm guessing there is less chance of the Las Vegas flight being available as they only fly three days a week and will be more limited.

Has anyone used their airmiles to book flights for the following year to a popular destination?

Has anyone had difficulty using their miles ie being told they can't book the flights they want?

I definitely need to book these flights for next August and am now tempted to book the flights and pay in September. But this defeats the whole object and I will never get to use all those miles I've saved:confused:

Any advice/thoughts/experience please?:o

Can anyone help...........please:confused:  :(

Karen,

We've booked 'Miles Plus Money' PE for our impending Orlando trip (just two seats) and we've done the same again for our next trip - flying into New York in December and back from Orlando in January (four seats). We booked those a couple of weeks ago.

Hi kazzie,

I have not booked a VS flight with my FC miles yet (apart from using 25k for an upgrade to Upper cass to IAD on New Year's Day).

I would log on to www.flyertalk.com select the miles option and post your question on the Virgin Forum (it is free registration juat like here)

We're a friendly bunch on the board and there are a number of seasoned travellers on the forum who I'm sure will be able to help.

Hi,

I think the server must be down today ( altohugh it is unusual for it to be down for so long in my experience with the site (over 1 year).

Hopefully it will be up later .

Hi kazzie,

yes , the board members will be nice for your first few posts:D

I think the Virgin forum is one of the more civilised forums on flyertalk.com.

Look forward to having you on board soon once your password arrives

I bokked two seats out of five on our flight to MCO last October. I had no problem getting them for the dates I wanted. In fact, I tried a couple of other dates and could get the seats with miles but the cash seats were sold out!

You just make one call to the Flying Club line on 01293 538888 and they can sort it out. They booked all my seats at the same time, cash and miles together.

Do you have enough miles now to book three seats on miles and pay for one?
