I would love to restart this thread from a few years ago. It dealt with everything make up and had lots of good information.

I will offer a few great finds that I have discovered re mascara.

Laura Geller has a mascara primer in black. It is fabulous, loaded with conditioners etc. The only problem is that it really lengthens your lashes so you need to be careful when you apply your mascara because they can look over done very quickly. I usually pair it with tarte or IT fibers mascara and it is huge.

I liked that thread also. I love to try new makeup so it was great to hear others' recommendations.

I need a recommendation for a good, waterproof mascara. My favorite brand was discontinued and I have tried a lot of kinds but haven't found one that I love. If anyone has one that they love, I would love to hear about it.

I'm still around!

Sdjen I've heard really good about Dior. I think they have a waterproof and tarte is another great one.

Does anyone have recommendation for a good brush holder for traveling? I don't want to just throw my good brushes in a bag to go unless it's my only choice.

Benefit They're Real comes in water proof. I stopped using the regular because it was so hard to remove so I am going to bet you will do well with the waterproof.

Another good product is AG hair care. I use a variety of products from them but the Frizz Proof is really good to keep the frizz away although if anyone else has a good no frizz product please let me know as I am going to WDW in three weeks and it is torture when my hair resembles Spainish Moss! BTW if you live near ULTA and use AG they have changed their packaging so when I went to get Frizzproof yesterday, the old package was marked down to 8.49, the new one was 24.95 do I need to tell you which one I got LOL? Actually I got 3 for almost the price of one so I stocked up.

Hey!

If anyone is looking for shadows that aren't the neutrals and good quality I highly recommend kat Von d. I love it and the colors are fantastic.

I'll also swear by makeup forever primer/foundation/powder.

Got a great deal on bare minerals bare skin at sephora online. $35 for the foundation, brush amd finishing powder. It's weird to apply, you use literally one or two drops on each side. Once you set it with the powder, i like it. It seems to wear well over the course of the day. I also joined the flash shipping at Sephora so everything ships free for a year.

Does anybody else love this site http://www.musingsofamuse.com/

Never heard of it but I am going to check it out. I love stuff like this.

BTW did does anyone use Algenist(sp?). I got the special value on QVC yesterday it was a great deal and they say it minimizes lines in 10 days. I am not expecting much but I will risk it since I can send it back in 30 days.

Anyone purchase shadows from Make Up Geek? I had gotten the new Make Up Forever shadows and pallet but they keep breaking on me and at 25 a pan it killing me. A friend suggested MUG and so I got a few of them. While they are smaller than MUF they are only 5.99 and made in USA! The colors are very pigmented and they work well. You just need to put them in a pallet and that was a pain for me since I had one with pre cut pan slots but other than that I love them and at least if one drops or breaks, it is only 5.99 to replace it.

I haven't snagged it yet either. I've kinda fallen off the "wearing makeup every day" routine and it's hard for me to justify spending the money on something that probably won't get used...

What is your favorite concealer? I am right now liking the NARS but I was using Make up Forever and IT. I am torn on It Cosmetics. I like the poreless finishing powder but I am pretty weary of them because some of their products are made in China.

I do like the new liquid Bare Minerals. I have had a rough time with my skin and it does not make me break out.

Also, has anyone heard of SK-II skin care? It is very expensive but I am a Bzz Agent and got a sample kit (worth 100) to try. I am really hoping that it is no good because I cannot afford 200-400 on a jar of skin cream. So far sadly, it does seem to help the lines in my neck. They sell it at Neiman Marcus and it has some sort of by product of sake in it.
