Any Member's from California?

Califgirl,

We are going tomorrow too - and staying at the GC on points as well. We are so close that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to stay all the time, so we do it once a year just for one night so we can use our points on both coasts. We are really disappointed though as it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow :umbrella: , but hopefully it will clear up sometime in the afternoon. Have a great time!!!! :smooth:

Just back from candlelight and checked the forecast for you. It's supposed to stop raining in time for Candlelight and you should be fine. It doesn't matter how wet it is during the day, it just matters if it's raining or not at Candlelight time. (to protect the instruments) There were a few sprinkles tonight and a slight delay but all went off. Marie Osmond was a delight as the narrator.

Thanks LeftCoaster!!

I am not familiar with the "candelight", is it a parade?

It's a procession / show. It begins with a procession down Main Street of the performing choirs. There's a stage set up with the Main Street Train Station as a backdrop. Every year, there is a celebrity narrator who tells the story of Christmas (the nativity) and it is intertwined with the appropriate carols. It's an amazing thing to see. Having it on Main Street gives it a more personal, intimate, community setting. Here's some pictures from Mouseplanet from last year. I tried to find some better pictures because these just don't do it justice.

Thanks LeftCoaster. I wasn't able to pull up the pictures with your link, so I will have to check it out in person myself tonight (weather permitting). I will try and get some pics and post them if I can figure it out. I'll check back in tomorrow night when I get back.

Another DVCer from California checking in...

Can't help you with the II trade though. Good Luck!

Just an update - we got rained out on Sunday so I have no new pictures to show so I will just have to go back again soon to get to see the processional. Oh well, another trip to Disneyland is on the way!! :smooth:

I was a t work yesterday and kept looking outside and hoping it would clear up for you guys. =( We should do a Candlelight DVC meet next year.

Sounds great!! I was also looking at the weather in Florida, and I saw some 80 degree days in there, so at least the Disney fanatics on the other coast got to enjoy some good weather. I really want to get out and see it, so we are figuring this Sunday as a hopeful day (weather permitting of course).

L.A. here! Can I go if you secede...please!

Haven't used anything but Disney properties yet. Four trips in a row... I assume we'll use something else every time we start planning the next trip. But we always end up back in Orlando!

Just to add, I've never done any exchanges because I just enjoy going to WDW too much! But how many of you guys are bi-coastal annual passholders? I am!!!
