Any Marrakesh Reviewer Out There?

I am a VERY picky eater, but DH and I decided to try this last month for a change of pace. We both loved Restaurant Marrakesh and will definitely eat here again in the future. We had the chicken bastilla for an appetizer--unbelievable!! Don't let the description scare you (shredded chicken layered between pastry shells and topped with powered sugar--sounds weird), it was so good. DH had the chicken kabobs, which he really liked, but I didn't care for and I had the chicken couscous. I had never had couscous before, but it was delicious. The chicken was grilled and laid on top of the couscous with mixed veggies. For dessert we had one of the crepes, I forget now, I'm thinking maybe Crepes Casablanca, they were wonderful too. Go and try it, I think you'll really enjoy it.

By the way, the restaurant is beautiful, the CM's were great and DH was drooling over the belly dancer!:lovestruc

Thank you so much, alladinsgirl! Sounds like you both really enjoyed it there! All of the reviews are making me so excited to try Marrakesh!

:wave2:

I,too, am getting very excited about seeing the dancer. In fact I think my desk is levitating.

We ate at Marrakesh last Thursday night and I have to agree it was outstanding! I had the Royal Feast as well and EVERYTHING was good....especially the dessert. The belly dancy was good and went around trying to coax the youngsters into dancing with her. My 10 yr old DS said "No way" but afterward I was able to get a picture of him with the musicians......while we were taking the picture, the busboy accidently cleared our table INCLUDING our half-eaten dessert. When our waiter saw what had happened, he immediately brought us another yummy dessert and we happily finished it too! :p

What a great night and what great service.....you will definitely enjoy it! :teeth:

Okay...someone has to know if the "feast" can be split. If I understand correctly it is plated, not an AUCE type of thing. I would really like to try the feast...but not so much food for lunch.

I'll be waiting.....;)

I really like this restaurant. You should give it a try if your looking for something different. I posted a review of the place a few months back. If your interested, here is the link...click here!

try the lamb, you have not lived until you eat their lamb dish

my wife and I ate there on our honeymoon 9 years ago and had the lamb....ive thought about that lamb for the entire 9 years until we went back last week

the lamb was every bit as good as I remembered. and at lunch, that place always seems empty...so its a nice break from the crowds

the belly dancer even took my son up with her to dance

lots of fun, great food, great atmosphere

I dont think Ill ever goto WDW and NOT eat there

I agree with you 100%, the lamb was the best!
Like I stated in an earlier post, I got the feast and hardly touched the lemon chicken but wished there was more lamb!

When we go back in Nov/Dec that is tops on our list, we might even go there twice...

I have been thinking about the Mint Iced Tea since I got back last Oct.....I just loved it!

"we might even go there twice..."

funny, my wife was riding me all week to go back there...there is just too much other stuff to try around WDW

cant say I wasnt tempted though

LOL this is one of the few places that just might get me there twice!
My mom loves Alfredo's and always wants to go there twice....I do agree that there is so much more to eat and want to try so many places...it is hard!
But we will be there for 10 days....so we might get to squeeze something in twice!
