Any Magic Halloween Cruisers 2003 out there?

Jan those little bottles are not completely unbreakable
they are just about unbreakable
. I'll checkout Estelles post. Thanks, Oh!!! Jan thanks for the dusting story, I loved it.

Rae I think your decision to ignore this bully was a wise one.

Not sure if I still have a job, I had to call in today to say I could work. They really don't like that. I had no other choice, Ashley has a virus, high fever, headache, and a little cough. What's a mother to do.

Rory good luck.

My maths exam went well I think! It was all pretty easy bar the last question on the second paper. Fingers crossed anyway!

Good luck with the petition Rory, I can sign it if you want.

The weather's really nice here today even if it is a little cold still. The sky is blue and the sun is out!

Mom vacuumed sealed our Cracker Barrel maple syrup bottles last cruise. We got very funny looks from the serving staff in the AM when we used them on our pancakes. They thought we were pouring alcohol!!!! They took the empty bottles back to the kitchen to show the others since they had never seen them before!!

I can't imagine we were the first to ever do this, but it was funny when they asked what we were pouring and to hear them say they thought it was alcohol!!!

Like what kind of alcohol would be good on top of pancakes anyway?!!!!!

; )

Rae

Whenever I see someone who has started their alcohol consumption early in the day, I say "they had Budweiser on their Wheaties."
When I commuted to college on the Long Island Railroad, there were people who brought little bottles of vodka on the railroad, got on at the dining car and bought a bagel and orange juice or tomato juice, poured in the vodka and had that for breakfast on the train. I kid you not.
SO
RAE, perhaps those servers have seen people consuming alcohol for breakfast.

I guess I have never seen those little bottles you are talking about. I just cannot picture it. Do I understand that you took your own pancake syurp on the cruise? Don't they have pancake syrup? (I don't know since I am not a pancake person.)

EMMA: Glad the math went well and the rest of your day too.

RAE: Keep us posted on Michael and the piano!

Jan :earsgirl:

THIS IS WHAT I SENT GINGER AND RAE (I sent it to you, right, Rae?) I did not write it.

Dusting

"A house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the
furniture."

I can't tell you how many countless hours that I have spent CLEANING!

I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect -"in case someone came over". Then I realized one day that no one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!

Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the "condition" of my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.

Life is short. Enjoy it! Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better to
paint a picture or write a letter, bake a cake or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time, with rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!

Share this with all the wonderful women in your life! I JUST DID.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Jan :earsgirl:

The cruise doesn't carry "pure 100% maple syrup" and for those of us who grew up on the real stuff, we HAVE to HAVE it!!!!

Alcohol for breakfast?! I guess who, I heard a woman during one AM meal ask for a shot in her coffee but the bar wasn't open yet and she was upset. Give me a break!!!!!

Michael loved his first lesson! And of course, there are none so convinced as the newly converted, so he came home and practiced. Let's see how 1/2 hr per day of practice goes in a few weeks!!! As James told him, "This is your responsibility! Mom or Dad can remind you, but you have to do the work yourself!"

Having a bout of insomnia tonight so I am certainly glad there's things to do on my computer!!!
Dusting isn't one of them!

Rae

My Goodness, RAE, if you dusted, you would waken Michael, Tom and your mother. [For the uninitiated, Mom has her own place....:) ]

A shot in the morning, whiskey in her coffee?? What a life. The Disney MAGIC is not enough of a high, they lady wants booze? I wonder if she was hung over and wanted to try to get rid of that discomfort.

Glad to hear Michael enjoyed the first piano lesson.

Have a good day,
Jan :earsgirl:

Why are we both up so late?! If we didn't live 2 hours away from eachother, I'd suggest a late night coffee shop rendezvous!
I thought about dusting but then realized it was just the lateness of the hour that was making me delusional.

Michael gave me a Seven Dwarfs statue, "Sleepy" the other day. Right now "he" looks better than I feel!

Haven't received any new information from anyone so the list still stands as it was.

I am sure that we will get some new people before October's sailing.

We are thinking of Stingray City and Dolphin Excursion as our excursions for August - that's when Tom joins us Western. It will be nice to be able to come back here to report things!!

If anyone wants some specific information about an area before we go, just ask!!

Rae (resident insomniac along with Jan!)

Oh dear! Our thread was all the way down on page 4!

I've been off school with a sore throat and cold for the past 2 days so I've watched The Lion King, The Lion King 2:Simba's Pride and The Little Mermaid.

You can't beat a good disney film when you're ill!

We're going to see Lady Smith Black Mombazo the day after my birthday who I found out today did some of the African vocals for The Lion King.

Poor Emma! Are you better now?
This is just awful! My favorite Disney is "The Emperor's New Groove" - I could watch that over and over again!

My next favorite is "Beauty and the Beast"!!!

I finally got my "good night's sleep" in last night but sure would love a nap right about now. We have such blue skies and sun with temps around 50 - so I'm definitely going to be outdoors!

Get well soon, Emma!
Rae

Im feeling better thanks Rae. My throat is still sore though and it's torture not being able to sing.

I've never seen The Emperor's New Groove but I do love Beauty and the Beast.

The weather's been lovely here today but my spies tell me there was a cold wind.

I am sorry Emma I had the same thing and finally went to the doctor 3 days ago and now have a antibiotic for strep throat and my 5 year old is sick now..........someone help my sleep deprived mind. What day are we in Grand Cayman? I want to make reservations for Chance and I to get eaten :) by the Sting Rays and should I use Captain Mervyn's, Captain Bryan's or Nativeway?

Hugs-
Tiff

Welcome Martel-luv-wdw!!!

I will put you on our cruise list and post it so you can see who the rest of us are!

I am going to do the Stringray City tour in August when DH, DS and I are on the Western. I'll let you know how it is. I think Tuesday is our day at Grand Cayman.

Emma, you HAVE to see Emperor's New Groove - it's hysterical!

Rae

I shall rent it from Blockbusters when I next have chance Rae!

I think I wrote down our cabin numbers somewhere but I think I may have handed them in on the back of my history homework so I can't tell you them to add to the information list I'm afraid!

Hi everyone. It has been quite a while since I have posted.

JAN: A very happy very belated birthday!!:p Sorry I did not wish you one sooner.

MARTEL-LUV-WDW: Welcome to our family:D :D :D :D

So get this, on Friday our whole school was invited to the 100year anniversary of th pelican island preserve, (due to the fact that our school is very involved with conservation and the preserve of the scrub jay habitat in our area.) Guess who was there. ROY DISNEY!!! How cool is that? Okay, maybe some of you don't think it's that cool, but I do.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Anyway, it was a great celebration. Jack Hanna was there with all sorts of animals. And they unveiled the new Pelican Island Postage Stamp. It was pretty neat to be involved with something like that in our very own hometown!;)

My other news is that my sister and BIL have booked the 4 of us on a cruise over spring break March 31- April 4. NO its not disney:( . It is on NCL. So now I get to try a different cruise line. I am still pretty excited. It cose 178.00 per person for 4 nights. We sail out of Miami and go to key west and cozumel.:smooth:

All else is well here. Thank God no one is sick.

Dena:earsgirl:

PS: EMMA - you have got to see the emperors new groove. That is one of my favorites too.

Welcome Martel-luv-wdw !!!

Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone had a good week & all are on the road to recovery.

Rae: I have to agree with you. I like the Emperor's New Groove a lot myself.

The weather here is nice right now. It is very cloudy & some rain is expected but it is WARM.

This was an exciting week at our office. For months we have been kept in the dark about whether we are moving our office or expanding into the offices that are coming vacant in our building. Last week they started sending our funny e-mail messages and hints as to what we are doing.
Thursday, we had a "secret" meeting to announce we will be moving & they put us all on tour buses and took us to see where our new office will be. It is about 3 times larger than where we are now. Of course, right now it is one huge empty room. We have the whole fourth floor. We did get to see the new lay out. It looks great. Then they took all 85+ of us out to lunch. We were worthless for the rest of the day. Fortunately, I had planned to leave early that day or I would not have done a thing all day.

Sorry to bore you all with that news but we have been in the same office for 5 years & have been steadily growing the whole time. It was getting tight.

Back to the Saturday chores. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Rochelle

Welcome Aboard martel-luv-WDW.

Hey!!!!!!!! I was just reading our thread and noticed that DZNEPRINCESS stated that they may be leaving their newest DS, who will be 5 months old at the time of the cruise, home. That means he is not born yet.
Dzneprincess where are you?????? A better question might be how are you????? How much longer till the newest DS arrives.

I got called into work yesterday and today. Darn, I thought I was fired.
