Anyone having any luck getting descent AP room rates or other discounted rates for dates 3/26-3/30. We would like to stay 2-3 nights but at $300+ per night, we may be rethinking a visit to WWoHP.
We do not have an annual pass, but if it can save quite a bit off the room rates, it could be worth it. We have 2 adults, 2 children 8,9. DS is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and want to surprise him, but for the package rate of almost 2K, it will not happen.

We are in the same situation near the same days you want to go. I check rates 2-3x/week on line and call 1x/week. Still get nothing but "seasonal" rate

Wadekind....I am so glad there is someone else out there that does exactly like me. I keep hoping that after the holidays roll around that into January something will be released. I know about 5 years back when I took my 2 oldest kiddo's to UO, we stayed off site but they ran a special on tickets for $99 for a 5 day pass. I am crossing my fingers that something comes along soon. We already have our airfare and rental car, just not a hotel. Let me know if you hear of something and I will do the same as well!

I'm looking for March 25 and 26. Anyone get any discounted rates yet for this timeframe?

I'm also on "discount watch." We surprised the kids yesterday with a trip to Universal-for the end of January. I am still getting $219 + tax per night...EEK!! :scared1:

APH rates for RPR are $179 for the end of January. I don't think there will be any other discounts other than APH and residents rates.

But what about rates for March? I havne't purchased our tickets for Universal yet, either. If I get a big enough discount with an AP on the room rate, I'd buy one.

There are no AP discounts on March rooms yet. I was responding to the post above mine.

AP rates for third week of Feb. just came out a few weeks ago, so there is still hope for March.

What are the rates for the end of Feb like?

I'm trying to decide if it will be worth it to get an AP for discounts on a room for two nights in March. Or will the extra cost of the AP vs getting a 3 day park ticket eat up any savings on the hotel room.

Anyone can check and book AP rates. Just type APH in where it says code when you go into reservations on the hotel website.

We usually stay onsite too, but for 300 plus per night, I would advise staying off site. There are lots of great hotels in the area you can grab for about 100 or a little less a night. And I am not talking flea bag hotels, I'm talking very nice hotels. Doubletree for starters is just across the street and is nice and is usually 100 or less a night. In March, the crowds shouldn't be too bad, at least not as bad as July, so I would not worry too much about losing the fast passes, plus to save 200 or more a night, to me its worth it to not stay on site. Now I could be wrong if you have picked spring break week for the locals, then crowds may be pretty bad.

Now if you just have money to burn :lmao: staying on site is the preferred way to go, but I can understand the need to save, 300 plus a night is a lot.

I have been waiting and trying almost daily and after a few people commented they had some luck today, I tried to book again via the website with the code APH. I was able to snag Royal Pacific 3/27/11-3/30/11 for $189/night.

I am so excited. The lowest I had seen was $279/night with an advance purchase rate.

Good luck everyone!
