any luck walking in to TS past week not on DP?

Sorry for such a mouthful, but wondering if anything is open and can u look at online openings as good indicators to being able to walk in?

either I used a bad abbreavition(SPELLING?) for table service dining(TS) or no one had any sucess walking in last week to eat at a sit down table ervice meal?

We walked into the Yachtsman Steakhouse this past Monday evening with no ADR and were seated within 10 minutes. We were on property for the day visiting friends who were on vacation. As we were saying goodnight they invited us to stay for dinner.

It depends a lot on how many in your party and what time you are trying to eat. sorry I can't help you with any recent trips cause we haven't been since last June but we're going the first week of May and we aren't making any ADRs and no DDP but there will be just 2 of us. In the past we've been successful walking in to Kona (breakfast and dinner), O'Hana (breakfast), Sci-Fi, the Plaza, Boma (lunch), Cape May (dinner), Planet Hollywood (dinner), Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) for just 2 people.

Is it correct that you joined (Added 2) your friends on their ADR, rather than walking in as a party of 2 looking for your own ADR?
That may be different than just walking up and hoping, they already had a table set aside for them. Maybe it already was a 4 top?

I'm sorry of my response was confusing.

4 of us walked in with no ADR at all and were able to be seated.

When we were there last Nov. (Thanksgiving week), we had our computer and just about daily I checked reservations because I was making some changes. I was amazed at the number of reservation times available at a wide variety of restaurants. Sometimes people cancel at the last minute or some may have double booked restaurants and then cancelled one, etc. So I do think there are times when the restaurants have availability...just depends on which one you are looking for. You can always call Disney dining (did that as well)
