Any Luck Parking at Manhattan Cruise Terminal?

Just some photos of the NY port terminal:


Driving up the ramp to the mid-level to drop off bags. Bottom level of terminal is for buses and large vans. Taxi's will line up on the mid-level. There used to be another ramp to the top level parking lot at the far end of this roadway. Not sure if it is still there. Sometimes it was open, sometimes not. If you are parking I guess you could park on top first and haul your bags down to the mid-level porters (not sure if there are porters up top) or drop your bags first and circle around terminal and come back to park if the other parking ramp is closed.


The Pier #'s decrease as driving along. DCL "usually" docks at Pier 88 which is further down.


There are usually porters in this area and police or port workers directing you where to stop to drop off bags.

We are on that sailing too!!! According to the schedule there is only 1 other ship in port on the 10th. The other ship you see on the 10th is located at the Brooklyn terminal, not the Manhattan terminal.

My only concern is that it is Columbus Day and the big parade starts at 12 at 44th street so I don't know if any of the West Side Highway will be affected.

Thanks good to know it’s only 2 ships. I am so excited to be on this sailing, the view out of NYC will be a highlight for me.
I may call the port closer to the date to see about closures. We have no option but to drive ourselves.

Longtime DCL'er, but first time out of NY Cruise Terminal. Driving in from NJ for the Oct. 17 Dream Halloween cruise. I read all the earlier posts and it looks like Terminal Parking now allows reservations which I will be making. Question is how/when does DCL tell you which Port # your ship will be at?

I have two small kids and a grandmother coming with, so trying to find out which parking lot to park at. According to Google Maps there is a long covered lot near Pier 92/94 is this where some of you have parked? Im so used to Port Canaveral and the porter/parking system there. Not sure what to expect in NYC.

They tell you where to park when you pull up. We left from either Pier 88 or Pier 90 and no problem getting to car. It has always been Pier 88 or 90 for DCL. Once the first cruise out of NYC happens in September we will know for sure for this year but pretty sure it will be the same as in the past. All the parking at the port itself is on the roof of the terminal. There is no covered area.

Jumping in to the discussion. DH and I are taking our 4th DCL cruise out of Manhattan this Nov. 4th. Its the last cruise, we disembark in San Juan.

2 times we parked with no problems and we were not super early. 1st time we parked by my husbands offfice in Brooklyn and Taxied over. This time we have enlisted our son to drive us from about an hour away in Monmouth County, NJ to the port. We will be flying back from San Juan, after staying there for a few days.

I have never heard of anyone having a problem parking, you just get to be closer to the ship the earlier you arrive. The news that they are taking reservations is good and interesting.

Everyone, have a terrific time cruise out of NYC, if its your 1st or 4th like us. Sailing down the Hudson passed Lady Libery and under the Verazano's Narrows Bridge is quite the experience.
