I'm in eastern Suffolk and it is great! I never travel past Islip, so I can't speak for Nassau...

I have Verizon wireless now, but had Virgin Mobile for many years with no service problems at all.

Virgin Mobile uses Sprint (also owned by Sprint) so any place that gets good Sprint reception will get good Virgin Mobile reception also.

I'm a long time Virgin Mobile customer in Suffolk and so far I haven't found any "dead" spots anywhere on the island. It also works great in Orlando!
