Any Londoners doing Gus Macker this weekend??

DD is participating in the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament this weekend. They split yesterday and won this morning so they play again this afternoon. Anybody else going to be down at the park this afternoon? We'll be at Court W (on Wellington, just north of Centennial Hall) at 1:00 today.

How'd she make out yesterday, Mike? What a great weekend for this tournament. Saw lots of very tall players in WhiteOaks mall on Friday night ... they were probably staying at the hotels along the Wellington Rd strip.

They lost their second game Sunday and were out.

It's funny how you see the same people:

Game 1 - a girl she went to basketball camp with last summer (they won)

Game 2 - four girls from this past season's hockey team (they lost)

Game 3 - two girls from her fastball team (they won)

Game 4 - another teammate from the hockey team (they lost)


You literally couldn't ask for better weather, although I would have preferred staying around the house and doing all the things I haven't been able to do because of the wet weather of the past couple of weeks. At least I ended up with half a useful Sunday. It appears the moral of this tournament (for her, anyway) is if you want to win, don't play anyone from your hockey team.
