These are some things you don't have to pack OR carry around:
Don't forget to have fun.
By that I mean don't get so mirred down in your itinerary that you lose site of why you are there in the first place.
Be flexible. If something comes along, don't be afraid to change plans midstream.
In MGM one hot afternoon we were trudging along on the way to a "must do" when we accidentally walked by the big double doors where the stars in motor cars parades comes out. Generally we take the time during parades to "accomplish something" (DH's strategy) while the rest of the people are occupied. On this particular day I was so tired "I JUST SAID NO"
Our equally pooped children gratefully sat right where they were and we watched the parade from the very beginning. Got some great photos, alot of smiles and that ten minute break did us a lot of good.
I love to just take a break and sit down and people watch. I do this sometimes while DH and DS are are on the BIG rides, while I take a break with the littler DD's.
I love to watch other families in action.
I love to imagine the background story behind the little snippets I see and hear.
I love to strike up conversations with other people in lines. It is amazing how interesting a 3 minute conversation can be.
I love to LOOK for families taking group pictures and offering to let them get in the shot by asking if I can take their picture for them. Most people are really grateful that you asked and many may offer to reciprocate!
I love to overhear an obviously NEW family trying to follow their guidebooks or maps and just help them out. Give them a few pointers.
I remember our first time, being so overwhelmed and confused!
Have a super trip!
