We are DLR regulars but let our APs expire last November and haven't been since. We are heading out for a quick trip this weekend before school starts. We are not usually there on summer weekends.
Plan is to arrive to DCA maybe an hour after opening. Spend most of day there as last trip was the first when both kids could ride Screamin'. Have park hopper if we want to but just winging it. We will nap mid day as waking up early to catch flight. Then will hit RD at DL Sunday and be there until 5 or so when we head home. Here are my specific questions:
Olaf still doing preshow at parade? What time and where? Is it worth it?
RSR - thinking of not getting FP now that it is connected. Since we won't be there right at opening, I don't want to be locked out of FP for 2 hours. I'm expecting crowded parks and thinking those hours could make a big difference? Anyone have recent experience? We have ridden it every trip since it opened, and love it, but I think kids love Screamin and Tower of Terror more.
I think I read the parks still aren't connected if we do park hop? Last trip, as long as we were all in one park, when we left for naps one of us could take all tickets into the other FP to grab an evening FP for when we got back. Can we still do this or do all tickets need to be scanned into the actual park?
ID at the gates? No AP this trip. We will have 1 day hopper for Saturday (gift) and then but 1 day/1 park for Sunday. Will they be checking ID and wanting signatures?
After dealing with the stress of planning WDW for 9 people later this year, I seriously cannot wait to have two days in my happy place that still allows flexibility.
Any other new things I might not have read about? New food to try or entertainment to see?
