I missed the Walmart one also,due to a fistfight breaking out in front of me! I found a great deal on-line at Best Buy,but of course,they were all gone! If I find another one before the night's end,I'll let you know!

I'd bought a Laptop for DS15 (staples) and a netbook for DD10 (target) on Friday. I found a better deal for a laptop this morning at BestBuy (4 GB, 320 GB HD) for $100 less, and ordered it. I'll take the Staples one back.

Was actually able to get an Amazon lightning deal for a netbook -- about the same price, but a better system and better software. I might still give DD the target one and give DMIL the nicer one -- she's been traveling and has remarked about the need for her own laptop. I need to doublecheck to make sure that the Microsoft Office Personal 2007 is actually on the system and that they're full programs (not just Works) before I do it, though.

I've got to accept that I'm done and just let it go!

Was it the Acer for $399.99. I took like an hour and a half to decide, then I went to one bank to take out money, deposit into another bank and it was still available. It was a much better deal than the one I settled for on Friday (I'll be returning that one), but I still didn't think it was an unbelievable buy. I think it was the best deal offered online today for sure (that I've seen), so I bought it. I just checked and it's sold out now.

I bought one from Dell on Thanksgiving. There's a coupon code floating around that took an extra $100 off, so it made it $399. Free next day delivery (they waive the $69 for that). Only bad thing is no Office, so we ordered that from Amazon for $59 or something. DH is an IT geek and said it's a nice laptop. We'll see - it comes tomorrow

Uggh. I ordered the Acer for $399 yesterday. I haven't received a backorder notice -- I went on my account and it's still showing as "Order in Process of Being Fulfilled".

Maybe DS will wind up with the one from Staples after all -- 3 GB and 250 GB HD.

I just spent a wasted hour trying to discuss this with someone. There is nothing they can do and of course they can't explain why the same item was available on their website this morning for $30.00 more. Their response to that was, I can’t tell you why, that is "way above my pay grade". This was from a Supervisor.

So, now what do I do? Trust them again that it will be filled in 2 weeks? Something tells me it's won't be here by Christmas.

Oh my goodness!! That would have made me leave the store I think. I ended up getting in on the walmart one for my DD. So happy to snag it. I was hoping to find another one for my dh. We could have gotten another one since he was with me but didnt have enough cash at the time. Our line was quite pleasant and joked around with each other the whole 1.5 hours standing there.

I did go to another walmart first and apparently they gave out their tickets at 11:30 on WEDNESDAY night and let the people leave and come back at 5 on BF. That was so not fair!!!

No email, and I checked the site and it says 'in-process'. I hope I don't get an email, that stinks! I'm supposed to get the other computer today from circuit city, I still plan on refusing delivery on that so I can get my money back. The thought of NO computer for Christmas , thats the main gift for dd.

Same here... and I just refused shipment on the Circuit City one today...

Check back with Circuit City to make sure that you are refunded. I refused a delivery one time (different company), and the package showed in tracking as having been delivered, and the company said they never received the package back. Took forever to straighten out.
