any Lake Placid Diser.. A halloween ?

A question for any dis'er who is in or near Lake Placid NY...

We will be in LP on halloween for a hockey tournament for my 15 year old DS.
My 7 year old DD wants to dress and trick or treat and I was wondering if folks in Lake Placid celebrate on the 31st and if they go door to door....

I know traditions can vary ....

Any hints will be helpful...
