I am heartbroken watching this disaster unfold from day to day. It is hard to comprehend the extent of suffering that so many people will endure. I hope our friends from over seas have expressed their concern and willingness to help, but I haven't heard anything yet. Have you?

I read online, I will look for the link, that Putin offered some heavy lifting planes and helicopters.

Russia (Putin) and Venezuela (Chavez) have both offered help. Chavez particularly offered oil according to CNN this afternoon.

Most of the European block has offered aid as well. As of right now, the US has declined all aid. However that may change.
