We will be visiting Kennedy Space Center on Sunday and I was wondering if anyone had any special tips or touring info we need to know? :)

My boyfriend and I went there in August. We had a great time. We got there shortly before opening and did everything we wanted to do at the Vistor Complex. After lunch, we went on the bus tour with stops at the Observation Deck with views of two launch pads, the Apollo Saturn V Center and the International Space Station Center. The first two were great! Between the first two spaces, we were there for probably 2-2.5 hours. The last stop wasn't nearly as interesting but it was neat to be able to see (from behind glass) the next piece of the International Space Station. You take buses to each stop and then can spend as much time there are possible. I highly recommend it (and I don't even enjoy space as much as the bf). If you go on the tour, I would suggest giving yourself plenty of time at the locations - so keep in mind what time the last tour departs from the Vistors Complex. On our next trip, we'll go on the Up Close Tour.

I don't thing that smaller children would enjoy Kennedy unless they already show an interest in Space. I was asked to see if it's something my 8 year old Goddaughters would enjoy and I don't think they would. It might be boring to them with all that history stuff ;)

We were there in May and had a nice time. Skip the silly robot show unless you have small kids that would like it. Also, make sure you do the Astronaut Encounter and have your photo taken with the astronaut. The talk they give is very interesting--at least ours was and it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet an actual astronaut.

I have a 7 yo, do you think she would like the robot show? Also, I was wondering if we should do the tour or the visitor center first?

The Imax movies were very good. Check the schedules so you can catch both of them.

We have been there twice and have enjoyed each time, but we are always shocked by the food prices compared to Disney or other attractions.

This last time we also went to the other area that has the simulator rides-The boys really enjoyed that!
