Any Jet Blue Experiences?

We have never travelled on Jet Blue and we were wondering about possible delays at the JFK transfer during Jan-Feb. Any info would be appreciated.

Okay, the earlier your flight, the less likely there is to be a delay (flight delays ripple into longer delays at arrival airports, plane arrives later it takes off later, etc).
Frankly, any delays in January/February would most likely be due ENTIRELY to weather -- and as good as JetBlue is, there's nothing they can do about the weather.

JetBlue is notorious for delays at JFK. I have been delayed there every time I have flown JetBlue (delays were all 1+ hours).

DS and I flew BOS-RSW last April, connecting through JFK. On our outbound flight, there was no delay whatsoever. On our flight home, we sat in line, on the tarmac for nearly an hour before getting our takeoff slot. That weather was definitely attributable to weather, as the flight from JFK to BOS was like a BAD carnival ride.

I agree with kaytieelder that Jan/Feb is a dicey timeframe to do any connecting in the Northeast. That being said, there's plenty of places to grab a bite to eat in the terminal, and the people watching there is nothing short of SPECTACULAR. :teeth:

We have passed through JFK many times in Feb-March and have never had a delay. I think though weather is always an issue. But we have always found Jetblue to arrive at their destination south earlier than expected. The only problems I have seen encountered by other passengers, is sometimes they have a hard time making their connecting flights if they are close together in time.

I really hate when a plane gets to the gate and just about everyone on the flight immediately stands up and gets into the aisle. What's up with that? Then they stand there for sometimes 15 minutes and won't let anyone get ahead of them. This creates a problem for people who need to connect ASAP.

I suggest anyone with a connecting flight should be sitting at the front of the plane so they can get out first.

I flew Jet Blue through JFK on Columbus Day weekend. There was bad weather in NY so, everything was delayed. We missed our connection by 15 minutes and we couldn't get another plane until 7am the next morning. They offered us a "distress rate" at the airport hotel. That was it. :sad2: We were lucky because a friend who was traveling with us has a grandfather who lives 20 miles from JFK and we stayed at his house for the few hours until we had to be back at JFK at 5am.

We are flying Jet Blue through JFK this December for our trip to WDW. I am so nervous! We have a direct flight home, but the direct flight to MCO on our way down is an am flight-and we can't miss school/work that day...so we will have to take our chances and fly through JFK in the pm.
