Any interest in threads such as the following......?

With my first official DVC trip coming up, I find myself wondering about the little obscure nooks and crannies of the various parks and resorts that only an owner would either care about, or have the time to explore.

So, with that said, I was wondering if there would be interest in a series of threads on this board such as: "Saratoga Springs: Things only an owner would notice." There could be one for each resort, and perhaps even one for the parks, too. I mention the parks because DVC members often stay longer and have more time to explore the nooks and crannies of each park. This thread would feature little tips from DVC owners, but also obscure photos that your average Disney visitor wouldn't care about. As we have seen here, DVC owners enjoy photos of things as insignificant as the toilet in a 2BR villa, lol.

I wanted to ask you all if this would be a good series of threads before posting them, as I am sure that a bunch of new threads could upset some people if they weren't well thought out and well-received by the masses here.

I would be interested in such a thread! Great idea. As a VWL owner, each time we go we explore deeper and deeper into the Lodge. Our idea of a good time! Many of our findings are shared on our VWL Groupie thread, but it is so long it would be difficult for anyone to find anything on it (plus there is a lot of non-VWL stuff on it).

So yes, good idea!

Threads about items at the various DVC resorts would be fine.

However threads about items at the theme parks is not DVC specific and belong on the theme parks board. Such threads would not be specific to DVC owners as there are many guests who frequently stay at the resort hotels, or locals, all of whom could have similar interests in those types of things.

You can refer to the sticky thread at the top about relevant topics.

As Caskbill stated, the DVC Boards are only for DVC specific threads. You will find an abundance of boards here on the DIS which are specific to the resorts, theme parks and much more.

DVC threads are fine, off topic will be moved as per DIS Posting Guidelines. Thanks everyone for keeping our boards here DVC specific!
