This is my first vacation and I am curious as to the rooms at this resort, should I stay here for the convinence or move to the OKW for more room but further away from the MK?
Help, only 32 days left !!!!!! :bounce:

How many are in your party? How long will you be staying? Which park(s) will you be spending most of your time?

Yes, we'll need more info before we can help you!

Those 2 resorts are quite different. OKW is more laid back and far from everything but has BIG rooms.

CR is in the heart of it all and you can walk to MK. It's got the monorail and great restaurants. It's got GREAT views.

Do you want convenience or space? Although, CR has some of the biggest rooms for deluxe resorts, OKW has much bigger rooms.

fyi...I LOVE the Contemporary for the above reasons.

Good luck!

I picked the CR for the location, I hope that I will like it. The CM agreed to switch me for free if I am unhappy to the OKW depending on availability. I have the funny feeling that all will be well and whatever the room I am going to enjoy my stay. But if you have any other information on the rooms to give me a heads up, I would really appreicate it.

31 days till "D" Day!!!!!!!!! :earsgirl:

We stayed at the CR last time we went to Disney and we LOVED it. It was so convienent because of the monorail (we stay in MK most of our time) and it was so nice to be at our hotel room so quickly. We stayed in the tower and the rooms were very roomy and nice. I know that some dont like the decor, but we thought it was fun. The bathroom was very nice and big and the toilet and one sink were seperated from the tub and other sink. We had a big closet, but the closet doors were very heavy to slide. It had a safe in it with a key and we used that. We had 2 Queen beds and the day bed which the kids fought to sleep on (they took turns). There was a table and 2 chairs and a long dresser, tv, coffee maker (I think we requested that) and I think now the delux rooms come with a fridge. The balcony had a couple of chairs and a small table and we watched the fireworks there often. We had a MK view, 11th floor. I really enjoyed the CR. The kids loved the pool even though it wasnt themed, it had a water slide. They also loved the game room and some nights when DH was getting the little one to bed, I would take the other 2 and we would ride the monorail for FUN. We rode up front a few times and got to talk to the operator. I know you will love it! :rotfl:

I agree with blessed by 3. the Tower rooms at the CR are really nice. We stayed there last yr for my dd's Make-A-Wish trip. 11th floor with the MK view, also.
But I should warn you, I have been reading on the Resort boards and another message board, that the North Garden and South Garden rooms are not that great. They are in the middle of remodeling the NG and SG rooms. The updated rooms I guess are ok. I have read on many posts that the non-remodeled rooms are dirty. The bedspreads have holes in them, bathrooms are dirty, etc.
You might want to check out the Resort thread to get an update on these rooms at the CR.
