I placed an order with this company on 6/15 and have not yet received it. We leave on Friday and I am really starting to panic. There is no contact phone # at all on the website. You can only send an e-mail which says they "should" get back to you within 6 days. 6 Days??? I have sent many e-mails and have had no response, yet. Of course, it hasn't been 6 days yet either.

I know I should have looked into their shipping policies more closely, but I have never ordered anything from anywhere that took more than 2 weeks, unless they specified that it was special order or out of stock or something.

Has anyone ever dealt with them before? Does the order usually take this long? Most important, is there any kind of contact # for them? I will pay the x-tra shipping for 'overnight' or even send it directly to our hotel at WDW - I just need to get a response from someone at the company.

Thanks!!

They are very slow in delivery. I waited about a month for a Mickey frame. I've read posts in the past here that most people wait a long time for their orders. I did e-mail them at the time and they did respond quickly and I got my order the following week.

they take a very, very long time to deliver, it should arrive eventually though.

I ordered stuff from them well before our trip and ended up cancelling my order. I waited over a month for my items and finally said Ill get them in the parks. Several emails went unanswered too. I wont buy anything from them again!

Gosh, I'm thankful for your quick responses - much quicker than the store, LOL.

I will certainly live without my order and it was definitely not necessary. Still, I was looking forward to it and I am kind of bummed.

I'm really kind of surprised that they are allowed to be a sponsor for this site. I mean, I guess if the stuff is delivered eventually - then they're not really deceiving anyone. But, there is no contact phone #, they don't answer e-mail questions in a timely fashion and it is not made clear (except for 1 mention in the FAQ) that their shipping policy is sooooo out of the ordinary.

In contrast - you have "Laughing Place" who clearly states that orders may not be shipped for 10 days, since they're purchased at the parks. I wasn't thrilled with that, but I atleast had a time period to plan on. And, all e-mails (3, to be exact) were answered promptly and courteously. Both orders were placed at the same time and I have had my "Laughing Place" stuff for 1 week. I would definitely do business with them again.

Well, I guess I've got a little extra spending $ for our trip!

**UPDATE**

Well, just as I was posting - I got an email from none other than Main St. Megastore. Wonders never cease!

Anyhow, they said the items I ordered were in such high demand and they couldn't fill the order in my time frame (17 days) so they have cacelled my order.

I guess I have to give them "props" for getting back to me in 3 days rather than the expected 6 days. Still, I feel they need to review and update their ordering/shipping process.

Thanks for all of your help!

Call me curious (or maybe nosey), did you order something really unique like the banners?

I ordered from them last year. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. I contacted them concerning my order, never heard back, sent another email cancelling my order and if they charge my credit card, I would file fraud charges. That got their attention. They finally emailed me that they would be shipping soon that day. I said NO and to cancel the order. They did charge my credit card and I called the credit card company (the Disney Visa card actually) and filed a fraud complaint against. They eventually refunded the money. Three weeks later, I get an email that the product is shipping. I was told I could keep the products. Gee, thanks guys. It only took 4 months to receive my items.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!

I had a similar problem. This was about a year ago. They charged my credit card upon receipt of my order, but when the credit card bill came due, they still hadn't shipped. I had the charge removed from my account. After 6-7 weeks the product finally arrived (so I had the charge reinstated). They gave me the same line about "high demand". They CLAIMED they were changing their policy and would no longer charge until a product was shipped. As I've not ordered from them since I don't know whether that has really happened.

The outcome was acceptable for me because the item was something I really wanted and was willing to suffer for, and I was not aware of an alternative vendor for it. But I'd say don't order from them unless you're in a similar position.

Call the WDW Merchandise line. They can get you just about anything that is sold in the parks. You just have to know what it is you are looking for.

It has happened to nearly every on of us. You see an item for sale in one of the shops in a theme park that you like but you decide to wait before you purchase it. One thing leads to another and before you know it, you are back home without having bought that item. Oh if there were only a way to still get it.

There is. Disney's merchandising division operates the very efficient Walt Disney World Mail Order department for just such contingencies.

I have found in my dealings with them that the CM's who staff the Mail Order department are very diligent and thorough in trying to find that special something that you are looking for.

To set the search wheels in motion, contact Mail Order at:
Telephone: 407-363-6200
Fax: 407-352-6369
Email: wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com

Tell them as much detail about the item as you can remember. Important things are where you saw it (what park or even better which shop), as detailed a description as possible including the price if you remember it, and the size and/or color of what you are looking for. They will search their database of thousands of merchandise items to try to locate what you seek.

Most times they can come up with a match. They will tell you the SKU number of the item (this is the unique computer coded number assigned to every item that Disney sells) and the cost of the item. Merchandise purchased through the Mail Order department sells at exactly the same retail price as it does in the parks. You will however be charged a shipping cost to have the item sent to you.

Domestic shipping charges to addresses in the continental U.S. as of August 2002 are:

Merchandise Value Ground 10-20 Business Days Fed-Ex 4-7 Business Days Fed-Ex 3-5 Business Days
$ 0 - $24.99 $ 8.95 $18.95 $22.95
$25 - $99.99 $10.95 $20.95 $24.95
$100 plus $15.95 $25.95 $29.95

Delivery dates assume merchandise is in stock at the time of order.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shipping outside the continental United States is via DHL service and would be according to the following schedule:

Merchandise Value Shipping Charge
$ 0.01 - $ 20.00 $ 10.00
$ 20.01 - $ 30.00 $ 25.00
$ 30.01 - $ 40.00 $ 40.00
$ 40.01 - $ 60.00 $ 50.00
$ 60.01 - $100.00 $ 75.00
$100.01 - $250.00 $100.00
$250.01 - $500.00 $125.00
$500.01 - $1000.00 $150.00
Add $10.00 For Each Additional $100.00 over $1000

Allow 5 to 10 business days for DHL deliveries. Any duties or taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

For the curious...

I ordered: 1 visor, 1 Logo Fanny Pack, 1 Magic Moments Electronic Game, 1 Luggage Strap, 1 Luggage Tag, 1 Activity Book + 1 Coloring Book for a total of $174 + $22 shipping (a joke!) My credit card was not charged, thankfully.

I sent them the following:

Thank you for your response and the cancellation of my order.

Just a few suggestions...

1. You really should make your shipping policies more clear. It is highly unusual for companies to have such an extended shipping time (6 - 25 days?). And, I only found that info. by searching your FAQ's. There was no mention of it during the ordering process. If I had known that, I would never have placed my order and I wouldn't have planned on it for my trip.

2. It is also common courtesy to inform customers of an approximate time when their order will ship. If items are heavily in demand and hard to get, customers should be made aware of this.

3. You really should have a contact phone # for questions OR at least have a quicker e-mail response time for questions. 3 days to respond to an e-mail is ridiculous, in my opinion.

I am very disappointed that I had to cancel my order. I was really looking forward to having these items for my trip. I seriously doubt that I would ever order anything through your company again unless there were some significant changes made.

Sincerely,

Anhow...that's my saga.
