:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Hello, we're headed to BWV in March. We've never been there, we'er new to the Vacation Club. I have two little guys. One will be 2 and the other 4, will they like it? Can you share some information with me? :confused3 I would love to hear all about it!! As always thanks for all your help!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Your kids will probably love the pool. The Keister Coaster is the water slide with a clown face at the opening where they enter the pool. We love everything about the BWV and has been our "home" for over 5 years. We don't have children so our focus is probably a bit different, however. Down on the Boardwalk there is lots of activity in the evenings and especially on the weekends. They have face painting, midway games with prizes, there is usually a magician either in the lobby or on the BW, and someone playing a piano on wheels that is peddled around the BW. You can rent the surrey bikes for 2-8 people and ride them all the way around to the Yacht and Beach club and back. Don't miss the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast and also great treats during the day. The Flying Fish is excellent for a very nice dinner and we love the ESPN zone for more casual dining. Spoodles is great for a sit down breakfast or they have a to go window with slices of pizza and salads during the day. As to shopping, on the BW is the main set of shops which is actually just one big store, with everything from groceries to BW logo items to all things Disney. It is also where you pick up your packages if you have anything sent back to the resort while you are at the parks. You can walk to either Epcot or MGM by dedicated walkways or take the boats that you catch right down on the BW to either park. As to the rooms, we have had all 4 sizes if you have any questions. Most visits we get a 1 bdr. Rarely do we hear any hallway noise. We go back in December for our 8th visit and can't wait. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

We, too, own at BW since 2000. We try to get there every year (sometimes more) I have an upcoming trip in two weeks and I can't wait! Anyway, your kids will love it, it's so perfect and so "Disney" that even coming back to the room for a break in the afternoons will be such a treat. The pool is great for kids, there's a sweet/ice cream shop right on the boardwalk, as well as a community hall (indoors, arts & crafts, table games) around the by the quiet pool. We bought when our kids were 11, I wish we bought sooner, but husband wouldn't budge. Now he can't wait to get there! Enjoy and welcome home...

Thanks for the great responses! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We are so excited to go! March seems so far away :hourglass

Be sure to check out Community Hall....this is one of my dd's favorite things to do when at BWV. There is a lot of stuff to do. Check out the schedule board out front to see what is going on and when. Some things might have an activity fee..about $3-5, and more for non-members. But the activities are fun.

Hi. My 3 yr old DD absolutely loves BWV as does my 41/2 yr old neice. The pool has these elephant statues that squirt water. The coaster as mentioned before is great. My daughter went on it last year and she was only 2 1/2. One parent waited at the bottom and caught her as she came off. The playground was recently updated and it has quite a few slides and things. But even just the rooms the girls love. We stay in a 1 bR usually and they love playing in the bathrooms and the adjoining closet. And of course the safe- so much fun putting that key in and out.

Enjoy. The kids' will have a blast. So will you.

I can't wait to stay here  . Is there a lot to do in the evening? I heard you can take a boat :boat: to Downtown Disney, is that true? Is it a large resort? How many pools does it have? I love all the information thanks again :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: !!

ssr and okw have a boat to DD.

BWV and BCV has boats to Studio and Epcot. You can generally walk faster unless the boat is there.

depends upon your room - pref BW views and some standard views - yes.

plain pref views - swimming pools, lagoon view toward studios, - you might be able to see the top of the studio fireworks.

You will really like how easy it is to walk to/from Epcot - and to get to MGM. My DS loved the pool, the entertainment on the Boardwalk (still talks about the paddle ball guy), riding the boat to MGM, taking a bath in the jacuzzi tub at night and looking at all the people/sights from the balcony.

As for the room, you'll like having the extra room, the kitchen (great for eating healthy and quickly), and the washer/dryer (nice to not come home with a lot of laundry - plus you don't have to pack as much!).

Lots of very good resturants in the area. Enjoy your vacation. :Pinkbounc

:wave2: Things sound sooooo good. I can't wait. Is there a lot to do at night? It looks like there are lots of things going on. :cool1:

Fresh Mediterranean is also a good place for breakfast. There are lots of health juices, a station for cereal, fresh fruit, and muffins. There are three chefs preparing omelets to your specifications. Also have self-service for bacon, sausage, grits and oatmeal. The waiter/waitress provide table service for standard juices (o.j., tomatoe ect) and coffee/tea/milk beverages and toast. Fresh Mediterranean is located downstairs in the Dolphin Resort, which is walking distance from the BWV.
