Does anyone know if you can get a discount on a 1-day park pass? We are getting all our passes through Hilton HHonors, but they are only 4-day Plus passes and we are staying for 6 days. We planned to go one day to a water park, but still need an extra day at one of the regular parks. Any suggestions??

The only discounted one day passes that I know of are if you sit through a time share come on.
Disney does not discount one day passes via DC.

When you get to Disney, you could go to Guest Relations and exchange the 4 day PHPs for 5 day PHPs and pay the difference. You should be able to apply your DC discount to the 5 day PHP price as well.

Thanks Gail - just thought I would give it a try! It might be worth sitting thru the DVC presentation because we were thinking about finding out more about DVC last time we were there anyway! Thanks for the tip!

I replied too soon....exchanging for a 5-day sounds like a great idea! Thanks GoldenOldie - you guys are so great! I just knew I would get some great ideas from this vast knowledge base!
Thanks, thanks, thanks!

FWIW, DVC does not give out park tickets for sitting through the presentation. Gail is referring to some of the other timeshares.

Also, not every timeshare presentation in the Orlando area gives out free park tickets. You'd have to check carefully if that is your goal. IMHO, 3-4 hours of my time is too high a price to pay for a park ticket, anyway.

My advice is to go with the ticket upgrade. Enjoy your trip!

I keep thinking of more questions...since the 4-day PHP PLUS is not a regularly offered option at Disney (they don't list it as a regular pass you can buy from them) , will I still be able to exchange it?? It seems like only places like AAA, and the rewards programs offer the 4-day PLUS passes. I can't find a "regular ticket price" for this pass. Any thoughts??

You can upgrade any Disney pass no matter where you purchased it. THe amount you paid for it is encoded on the magnetic strip. That is the amount of credit Disney will give you for the pass you turn in.
