I'm meeting some US DISser's in August and would like to take their kids some little pressies, there are 8 of them so not too much and they need to travel. Now I know they would love to try some of our English sweeties especially Cadburys but I'm worried about the heat. Any ideas?????

cadbury's is a great idea, how about a little party bag with some stickers ballons etc

some local postcards of your hometown area?

some old fashioned uk sweets i.e. humbugs?

If you got them chocolates they'd be OK on the journey but the danger would be on the day you were taking them to give to the kids. You could take them to the meet inside a ziploc bag in a cool bag packed with ice. I'm sure they'd be eaten fairly quickly :goodvibes so you wouldn't have to worry about them melting once you'd handed them over.

Thanks everyone, we're meeting during the day with the kids but adults only in the evening, I so wanted to take them some flakes, crunchies etc as I've read they can't get them over there so was thinking just to take those in the evening when it was cooler, well it should be a bit cooler :rotfl2:

we got a little Welsh Teddy Bear for the little girl we met up with last year Jo and a mini rugby ball with a Welsh Dragon on for her brother. They both loved them. I am still in contact with here mum and she tells her each night that her Welsh friends from Epcot bought her the teddy - so sweet !

One of the things Americans like is Chocolate Oranges. As others have said though...you need to keep them cool.

I'm thinking of doing something similar when I meet up with my US friends at Epcot in October.

So I can't really say what I am thinking of getting incase they read this !!
BUT in my case it will definitely be something Scottish. I know they have never tasted our seaside rock though, if that helps.

Anytime I've meet US Disers I've taken something Scottish. Last time it was a little tartan hairband, some Scottish postcards (showing Sottish landmarks) and some sweeties.

If you can get into London before then the Disney store does London specific souvenirs. Postcards is a very good idea but what about tourist leaflets for a nearby attraction or pins/badges.

I have taken over Little Miss & Mr Men books before for several different children and they always went over really well.
