Any ideas re: air conditioner

My air conditioner unit inside the house is making a funny clicking sound any thoughts? Should I shut it off?TIA

Central air, right? Is it doing everything else it's supposed to do? Is there any icing up on the outside unit? Is the fan fully functional?

I have no comment on the clicking sound other than my thermostat clicks right before the A/C runs, and this is normal. Did you check your breakers. Look in the panel to see if the circuit breaker is in the off position. Try to flip the breaker on if it is off. If you have an outdoor unit too, there is a fuse or breaker box next to the unit. Maybe the fuse is blown and needs replaced.
