I will call DFTW tomorrow but I was wondering if anybody knows if Disney will charge me an outside vendor fee for one of my guests to sing one song at my VR. One of my guests is a fantastic singer...it is not his job, although it could be. I have asked him to sing for me when I walk down the aisle for my VR. I am hoping the answer will be no, but who can tell...

Thanks--I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow when I call.

WHAT?! ???

Tink, if Disney charges a vendor fee to have a friend sing at your wedding, I am going to have to slap Mickey! pirate:

Seriously, I really think the fee only applies to paid professionals such as photographers, etc. But do let us know! LOL--there isn't a talking fee, is there? Like if people at your VR talk too much...over the limit...

What song will he sing for your processional? I was at a wedding not too long ago between two people that are in the Army, both of whom have either been to Iraq, and/or are going back to Iraq, and there was the most beautiful duet of "The Prayer" sung at their wedding, by two of their friends. It was so beautifully performed, and I swear when they finished all you could hear in the church was people sniffling and blowing their noses (as quietly as possible, ha ha). Even the minister had to compose herself. I always get a kick out of my DF, the Big meanie. He rarely shows emotion (well, he would have to be cool about things, seeing as how he is a Saints fan ;) ) and the only way you can even tell anything is getting to him is you can see his jaw muscless working. Boy, they were working hard at that wedding!

Sigh...nothing like live music.

I can't imagine that Disney would charge you to have a friend sing at your wedding. I agree, I think it's only the paid vendors like the photographers, videographers and florists.

I totally agree about the live music thing. My friend is going to sing "Storybook Love" from The Princess Bride. I just have to find the music...it's almost impossible to find.

I haven't heard yet, I haven't had a free minute to call. Things should slow down soon and I'll let you know what I hear! :listen:

Just got off the phone with DFTW and Dan told me that as long as I wasn't paying him, and he was a true guest for the wedding (which he is), there would be no outside vendor fee. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :dance3:

So now off I go into the archives to find sheet music for Storybook Love!

I was a guest at a DFTW and was also the "wedding singer" and nope they didn't pay any fees other than my fabulous four course dinner and open bar tab! :rotfl:

It was sooo fun to be able to sing in the Wedding Pavilion while looking at the castle "sigh" BTW if you're wondering it was a semi-country song "Valentine" and we used a backup CD. But they said that if we provided sheet music the accompaniest/organist could learn and play the background music for us also at no charge. I'm not that great of a singer and wanted to be able to train my voice to the CD track rather than have one practice session with the organist.

Good luck finding your sheet music, Tinkerbellz! pixiedust: Here's some pixie dust to help!

That is good to know. My brother plays the violin. He just got his masters in music performace. I had asked him several months ago to play at our wedding, but never thought that Disney might charge me for him. I'm glad to know that they won't.
