Hi--I am interested in what you purchased at WDW for your child's teacher to give them upon his/her return from vacation. I have read on here that an appreciation gift goes a long way for those missed days of school due to vacation. Plus it is always great to thank a teacher for any extra work that it might entail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will need to purchase 3 and want something that will keep and travel well. Thanks so much!!!

I am doing a Barnes and Noble gift card in a handwritten card w/a note of appreciation. I may stick that in a basket of school supplies, like a ream of paper, white board markers, hand sanitizer and clorox wipes. From reading these boards, I gather that they have enough apple themed items, mugs and candles!!!

Great ideas--thanks for the reply, but I realized that I hadn't made myself clear enough in the above post. I am in need of teacher's gift ideas from WDW for the return to school. Thanks so much for your timely reply though. :goodvibes

What grades do they teach? I would suggest a pen, notepad, and some candy. :thumbsup2 This will work for any teacher, any grade.

If, however, the teacher is a true Disney lover, I would get something more 'unique.' For example, kitchen towels, a Christmas ornament, or something for their home.

Great ideas--1st grade is the area that I need to cover. :thumbsup2

My best freind is a teacher . She just loved the Christmas Ornaments we gave her from our trip in 2008 . We ordered more for the teachers this year since they went over so well.

Food itema are great. That way even if they are not disney fans, they can still enjoy eating it!!!!

Candy, pencils, pens, coffee mugs, and Mickey ears (just put the last name for the name since they do not allow Mr, Mrs, etc on the hats).

How generous of you. I had a student the past 2 years that went on multiple trips a year (caused quite a headache for me) but they never brought me anything back.

I would say stickers would be great! Maybe a lanyard if they have to wear ID badges (I use mine at work).

Wow--what great ideas you all have!! I am so thankful for all of your ideas! I will be a shopping fiend. :cool1:

Lauren's preschool teacher last year loved Dopey and coffee so we brought back a Dopey coffee mug for her.

As a teacher, one of my students gave me a t-shirt. So I say clothes or a sweatshirt. Every time I wear the shirt, I think of her. My students know I have kids, so I would even accept something for them. But I have too many mugs and pens get lost too easily, plus I have a whole can of them. But anything is better than nothing. So thank you for thinking about the teacher. :thumbsup2

We always get my kid's teachers the canvas WDW tote bags that are in the gift shops (the ones that are for sale with the promo "pay $10.00 with every $40.00 purchase & receive a WDW tote bag").
