Any ideas for a DH B-day??

I know this is the last place in the world for me to put this post but I thought since most of my friends are here it may be the best place to put it.

I also know that DH is around the board here too...but hey...this is really for him anyway...

I wanted to get some ideas from my buddies here about what to do for my DH upcoming b-day. I want to do something special for him, but i am drawing a blank on what to do. Does anybody have some good thought provoking ideas? I just want him to have a special day.

Feel free to put ideas, even if he sees this he won't know what I will end up doing... But, if you want, PM me the info. I just love him so much and he has given me everything that I thought that maybe he should have something nice in return.

Well, I've been known to pop little notes in my DH's lunchbox on his b'day

Another possibility. Could you call his work and speak to one of his workmates and get them to organise something at work? My DH and I do voluntary work at a local school and last year I made up a sign and stuck it to the back of his chair and when the children came down for reading they saw the sign and wished him a Happy Birthday He was sooooooooo

Something else I just thought of. I've had this done to me and have done it for others as well.


Get a big piece of cardboard (poster size) and some felt pens or highlighters and make up a sign to stick in your front yard.

I could have alot of fun with the sign outside the house. We live close to the edge of the street and I could say on the sign....

"HONK IT'S MY HUSBAND'S B-DAY!!!!"

And watch him wake up to the constant sound of honking going down the street

Ok, maybe not...but a sign would be cool!

When we lived at our old house, the road was off a main road. The neighbors across the street went on vacation for two weeks and ask those of us on the road to keep an eye out. Well one of those neighbors got a new refigerator. The took that box, inside out, and spray painted "For Sale, $250,000, call ###-####" (it was the right number) and then a few others called and left phony messages asking about the house. Well, wouldn't you know it, they got some real phone calls too. But this house would really have only been worth about $125,000 at the time.
