Any Idea When The Poly Will Get A Hot Tub ?

Apparently a hot tub will be going in near the volcano pool in the fall. This appears to be a go but things can change and we should know for sure in the next few weeks.

Hotel has been open since when?

Gee, Disney is moving fast to bring it up to a "deluxe" standard (let me point out the Fairfield Inn I am in as I type this has a hot tub LOL)

The Poly is our favorite resort and we love it with or without a hot tub, but it will be a nice addition to the resort :goodvibes.

You know something?? Almost every single time I've headed to a hot tub at WDW, it's been full of either drunken adults or loud kids!!! And sometimes both!! The only time I've had a nice relaxing time in a hot tub was at BCVs...used the hot tub over at their quiet pool, behind the villas. It was midday, and not many people were around to begin with. So nice...some time in the pool, then some time in the hot tub.
But all other times have been close to a fiasco. When you have to tell kids as young as 7 to stop jumping into the hot tub, and to not play marco polo in there, it's time to make a change.

So true so true.... Hot tub is not a play area for toddlers and children and should be monitored as such.... Seeing children in there with snorkels and goggles is not what it was meant for... But who to blame but their patents....hot tubs are a turn off for us because......

The last couple of times we have gone has been in the summer, July and Aug and I have seen people in the hot tubs. It's 98 degrees outside and there are people sitting in hottubs

I need a "cold tub", as even the pool water is too warm for me.

I havent had to much trouble with the hot tubs being crowded with guests or kids. But we usually go in September when its not crowded. I just love the hot tubs at night when my feet and legs are hurting from walking all day. AHHHH it's so relaxing.
So I guess there is no chance of a hot tub being at the Poly within 1 month, 1 week, and 6 days :rotfl:

Totally agree. Consider the level of people who do wash their hands after using the bathroom (commonly referenced to be less then 50%). Looking at the hot tub with all the people in it just consider the microbiological activity going on in the tub you would never go in one or want one. It's like going to take a bath with dirty-unclean strangers of past and present. Even if routinely cleaned and treated there is still activity and germs in contaminated water can enter your system if you accidentally swallow the water, and can cause infection in your eyes, nose, ears, as well as in cuts and scrapes.

Hot tubs truly are a cess pool of human stew. I have never stepped in one and never will...all of those nasty germs getting heated up and multiplying....:faint:

Uh uh...not this gal

The ones I have been in are to hot for germs to survive and they have a strong smell of chemicals so I doubt there would be any worry. I have never gotten sick from one anyway:rotfl:
Germs would more likely survive in the pool .

I agree 100%, I've enjoyed the hot tub only once, at BCV, at the quiet pool, there were some 20 + year olds there, but they were well behaved. So often the young kids are using the hot tub as a mini swimming pool, not relaxing at all.

I only go to the resorts with hot tubs. I am a little bit of a germaphobe, but I put all that out of my mind for the feel good effects of a very hot hot tub :goodvibes.

I love a hot tub myself. I couldn't believe it when I heard that the Poly did not have one! I usually stay at POR and the last time I was there, the hot tub was full of graduating students. I tried to wait it out but they wouldn't leave, so I finally got up and worked my way in! :stir: After all, it was my turn!:lmao:

Keep an eye on Tikiman's site.

I believe he's planning to visit WDW sometime in September. I imagine he'll have an update then.

Yep, Steve will be there end of September and I'm there shortly after and will report what I hear from my contacts as well.

I don't think the OP, or anyone, asked your opinion on them...just if Poly was getting one.

I seriously do not think any germs can survive in a hot tub that's is why they put all the chemicals in and they are way to hot :rotfl:
Germs dont scare me :rotfl2:

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one wondering why Poly doesn't have a hot tub. I too enjoy the relaxation at the end of the day, and was shocked to see that this Deluxe resort didn't have one. Very happy to see they may be adding one though!
