Something About Nothing............ #14

What is that?
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/behind-the-seeds-glimmering-greenhouses/

We enjoyed the daylight tour this year, especially the mr as quite the gardener…to point I pulled a tick off him today.
🫣
He’s going to spray the yard tomorrow again. Pain in butt, have to keep pooch out of yard & windows closed for 8 hours.

Today, up @ 5:45 am to book our Candlelight Processional pkg. Grabbed an LeCellier and Biergarten & told the Mr he needs to decide sooner vs later so I can cancel one of them. At this stage of the game, there is no way I will wait hours in a standby line, just hoping to get a seat in the back.
I still have cough, but feel some better. Now hubby has it.
Nasty business, be well soon.
She is beautiful. It is both hard and rewarding to see them grow up into beautiful young ladies. She will always be your little girl no matter how old she is. You have made and will continue to make wonderful memories with her.
Thanks, yes, she’s my sweetie. Had a competitive cheer event early Sunday. I rode along. Thankfully, well organized, just took 2 hours. Some of them are real clusters and drag out.

Then I treated to Cracker Barrel. Like Charade found a long hair cooked in my sunny-side up eggs, after I was mostly finished. Yuck.

She did her scareactor thing that night, we had a nice run thru her haunt. Grabbed her for overnight & had a pumpkin themed day of food & jack-o-lanterns on Columbus Day.

I was sorta freaked out to realize many of her friends are getting their driver’s learners permits…she’s among the youngest in her grade.
This cold is hanging on. So you know how that goes. Hubby is now coughing so it seems to be the bad gift that keeps on giving. Hopefully it will pass soon.
Oh, that stinks, sorry.

Tests came back good for me, thanks. Supposed to see ortho for ‘new’ hip issue. Starting to think I’m out of warranty lol Hope the Mr doesn’t decide to trade me in on a new model
I'm still going to keep checking flights and see if I can get a better deal closer to home. You never know.
Excellent. Always nice to have a placeholder in hand.
My SIL is nice enough to just do some family and friends work
I know enough to be dangerous…my people have tossed some challenges at me. The worst is altering formal dresses, most of that material is contrary.

Ah, that clear skies are here today. Yay. And so odd, as was turning from my street to the main drag, the car passing me had its high beams on. I was like, there’s street lights and lots of houses have lights near the street.Just why? After a few cars passed us, the car finally turned off the high beams. I keep my car lights on auto, so I rarely see them go on high. Used to do it a few times as I crossed the town next to the city limits, but now, even as dark as it was the other day, my car doesn’t anymore use the high beams on my pre dawn commutes.

And, with that holiday Monday, and lazy day planned Friday, glad we are already mid week. And, close to now a month away, when I can say, I’m retired. Woot!

Wonderful Wednesday is here. And reminder? Yep, he’s here too:

Yay, the day we say, get over this hump of a day feeling, then that fabulous Friday feeling day a day away. Yay!

Full day of ☀️ sunshine and 70 the high. Most perfect Fall day in my book. Tomorrow is to be a carbon copy. Woot! Love these fall days of wall to wall sunshine, bluest skies and a backdrop of the gorgeous jeweled colors of tree leaves.

And what a nice month to rock those spooky clothes and decor. Hehe, last night, little one wanted to make a Target run, so I wore my haunted mansion tee shirt, as went with her. Yay, Two weeks before that most perfect day for Halloween this year. It’s a Friday. Yay! And we will be home in time to hand out candy that night. Yay, for a bonus Halloween 🎃 trip starting in 8 days. Oh my. And another yay, as another countdown is also counting down, that Christmas 🎄 time one. And, glad SOG had those holiday tickets still available. And even more glad, I bought Halloween tickets back in the start of August. When I called, two weeks ago, they said all Halloween tickets were sold out weeks ago.

Thus, welcome to this Wonderful Wednesday, the mid week and mid month one.

Good morning all.

Time for tea refill.

Another dull day at work. I was finished with everything I needed to do by 11:00.
Boring life. Nothing interesting to post about.

That looks interesting. I've never done the regular tour.

Today, up @ 5:45 am to book our Candlelight Processional pkg.
I want to do that sometime. I told dh that I want to take a year and try to do as many festivals and special events that we can.

So much fun. Will you be there on Halloween?

I'm still waiting for Universal to release ticket prices for January.

Hey all, walked the trails in the woods this am. Came home & we did tick check, including the pooch. Starting become the new normal here. Had a runner come up behind on a steep hill there scare the tar out of me lol. Guess they didn’t know the universal kindness of making themselves known :rolleyes1 . Lucky I didn’t jump higher and accidently knock them into the gully.

Lynne - seems as tho everything WDW puts out there that is “special” sells out. Pretty sure the MNSSHP & MVMCP have sold out every year for ages. So many this year getting rained out & unhappy they are only being offered a PH tix in lieu of another party date. Not sure what they expect.

I try to switch something up every trip, even if just something small, but new. otherwise it would get a bit too static for my tastes.

When we do visit the California parks, no such issue as it’s years in between visits.

Since we normally have U APs, can’t say if that is normal or not.

Do you think they may offer an AP that includes EPIC sooner vs later or an upgrade of some sort?

So many do, I don’t think the park can currently handle “the stress” of locals inflating the guest count right now. Maybe if it’s just on weekdays or after 2 pm tix?

I only have a few more weeks to decide if letting our U APs go this year. Will need to buy new ones next September.

Before then, our current plans are to only do Epic the end of June on GD annual trip.

Seems a supreme waste of $ to not use an AP until the 11th month of buying it. I need to sit down & run the actual monthly cost. Should make me realize it’s silly to be overly sentimental about having one & then not using it.

I was able to buy GD an EPIC tix, got a slight discount on ours as PH.

Now, if they decide to only sell EPIC daily tix to PH, we will be up the creek lol. This year you had to have the pass activated before you could purchase them.

From some of the posts on the board I assume it is not. It's 2.5 months away from 2026. We should be able to buy tickets for January. Individual Disney tickets are available through December of 2026.
I will need to get tickets for dh and B. It may be more cost effective to buy APs for them.

Do you think they may offer an AP that includes EPIC sooner vs later or an upgrade of some sort?
I'm not really sure. That's another thing I hope they will announce soon. My AP comes up for renewal in the middle of December. I'd like to know something so I can price compare.

I have to renew one more time so I can keep the great rate I got for Helios. I may not renew after next year.

Glorious sunshine ☀️ again today. 46 when I came though. Heated seat and 72 was my car settings. 39 was the should feel temp, as was windy this early morning.

Thirsty Thursday is upon us, and good to be hydrated no matter the weather outside or air inside. Doing my part with a once so far, refilled cup of tea.

And so glad to enjoy a long weekend this coming up one. Glad the rain chances that were to be this weekend, as of this morning, saying only Sunday, and higher chances rain on Monday. Eh, fitting to be a rainy Monday next week. Then, 10 days shows a long spell of dry weather, and a decrease in temps as we go along this week. So thankfully, the two flight days next week, said to be dry, and 67 and 60 the highs, with that glorious sunshine both days. Woot! Warmer weather next weekend. Yay!

So, hope all enjoy this Thursday, today.

And I hear ya, whether to renew AP or not. For now, we have renewed mine, and sometimes bought new for the kids, depending when travels and how many days. For the first time, older one will have an AP, as he’ll have enough days coming up next year, to make it make sense. Little one has had them over the years.

Morning all!

Great start to our day, middle DS got some good news from his specialist :). Nice to see the tides turn for the better here!

Making wings and my own buffalo wing sauce for tonights’s NFL game. It’s been more miss than hit on the latter, just hate to use commercial bottles of wing sauce due to all the preservatives & weird stuff on the label.

Are you ready for some 🏈?

“The football gods have a sense of humor. On Thursday Night Football, the NFL will get something few ever expected — a classic melee between new Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco and Pittsburgh SteelersAaron Rodgers — two forty-somethings with more combined passing yards than the population of some towns.

And leave it to Pittsburgh’s veteran stalwart Cam Heyward to give it the nickname we didn’t know we needed.

“Icy Hot Bowl,” the Steelers‘ 15-year DT yelled with a grin as Rodgers began his weekly press session, drawing laughter from reporters and the quarterback himself.

Rodgers shook his head, smiling as he adjusted his mic, and responded in front of the eager crowd. “I think it’s great for all the old guys,” the four-time MVP said.” (Courtesy of Heavy website)

Mr Rodgers is known for being ‘out there’, have to give him credit for that quote lol

I remember you snagged an amazing one!

Yes, using ‘park math’, once you break even on a AP, that means all the extra trips are free.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Good morning all!
Still have our ac on.
I’m jealous! Were supposed to get our first ‘hard frost’ of the season last night, just that light coating. I’ve segued to just running the vornado fans in the BRs on low to circulate the air. Still haven’t turned on the boiler as it will be in high 70’s this weekend.

Half a half a peck of peppers sitting on kitchen island. I’m fresh out of mason jars from the recent canning. Somebody told me you can freeze them whole or chopped. ??? Going to give it a whirl.

just got a reminder, was supposed to get covid vaxx this afternoon. Like clockwork, always a fever and general flu like starting 18 hours later for a day. Was supposed to go to HS football game tomorrow. Hmmm. Most people I know say they have no issue with it, altho the flu one lays them low. Even my dr said he’s learned to not get both @ the same time as it’s a whammy.
