Anyone have any insight as to what types of pins we can expect to see on Tues???

I was just about to post a similar question! :D

Does anyone know if Disney shipped park pins to the stores so the lanyards would have a mixture to start out?

That the only things on their lanyards will be the pins from week one of the 100 years of dreams series!!

I'm afraid as far as our store is concerned, it's just the first eight DS 100 Years of Dreams' pins. Then what ever guest pins end up on the lanyard at the end of the evening will be the pins they start with the next Tuseday. The lanyard is supposed to be locked in the safe until it is needed again. I think the corporate office has given the individual stores a lot of leaway in how they proceed with this pin trading, except for providing the pin trading guidelines and etiquette pamphlet for the guests. Outside of the first DS pin (One Man's Dream), which should be gone in a few seconds, I really don't have any interest in trading for more Disney Store pins!

The CM's in our stores have been wearing their lanyards. They have been wearing a varietry of TDS pins, from all weeks. They told me the first week they sold all their #1 pins. They knew they would be popular, so they wanted to sell them, rather than keep any back.
The only other pin I have seen on their lanyards, besides the 100 Years of Dreams pins, is the TDS Snow White DVD pre-purchase gift pin.
I don't really want to trade for anymore TDS pins either. Seen my share. :p But I don't have the DVD SW. And I would like to put something on their lanyards besides TDS. Need a little variety!;)
It's too bad they didn't tell anyone that trading starts Tuesday... I asked. But I don't know how many heard it. And I am not sure many guests in line really trade. I think they buy just for themselves.

It would be hard for me to go to the mall on a weekday evening. My kids can forget it. They have too much homework and too little time as it is.

I would go, when I could, if I thought other traders were coming and bringing their books.

The lanyards of the few CMs in the shop are not a big enough draw for me to disrupt the chaotic schedule of our weekday evenings. :(

Luv2Roam - the more I read about your TDS the more I am beginning to wonder if they read any directives from Home Base at all! :D

All TDS trading lanyards should be starting out with pins from Week #1. Pins from other weeks should have been sold, not taken out of stock to be put on lanyards. It sort of makes me wonder what actually happened to all of those pins - Home Base distinctly said that only the first week's pins could be taken out of stock (and only 2 of each pin, at that). All this means that your store should only have a total of 16 pins available for trading at any time (8 pins on each lanyard). If they are taking pins from stock each week to put on the lanyards, where are the pins from the previous week going? If they've been marked out of stock then they can't be sold (can you imagine how that would screw up inventory?)

Pair all of the above with your stories of what's happening on Saturdays and you present us with a very suspicious store! No wonder you're frustrated ~ LOL

Sorcerer -- Thx! I feel alittle better knowing it's not just me! ;)
I think the first week, their intentions were good. They thought the pins would just fly outta the store. The mgr had told me back then they were instructed to pull two of each. But she decided that the pins would be better off in the hands of collectors.
The first week the pins went over like a lead balloon here. They were on the racks throughout the week. I was buying and shipping the pins all over the country. Like her, I thought better in collector's hands that rotting on the racks in Omaha-ha. ;) (Now the pins are rotting in Des Moines! :jester: )
Then, when the mgr realized had LOTS left over by the first week ending, she then started pulling some and putting them on their lanyards. But they didn't have much variety by then. Hence, weekly I started seeing the current week's pins on their two lanyards. And they have more than eight per lanyard. Their lanyards are actually pretty full. But full of TDS pins, of course.
They are nice enough CM's -- well one.... ;) 'nuff said... ;)
I think their initial intentions were good. But I think they royally screwed up this week with Figaro. I imagine more than one person is contacting Disney about them. I would be surprised if there were not more than one contacting HQ.
I really think her original intentions were not to trade in her store, so she didn't bother with it.
