Any idea of when new DVC members can purchase annual pass?

Great thread and answered many of my questions. I did call the Disney ticket line to ask about the DVC annual pass, unfortunately, the cast member stated DVC members were in the same "pool" as others waiting on new purchases. Our annual gold had expired December 2019 and cast member stated no consideration for another. We had cancelled 2 trips in 2020. IMHO... reading the tea leaves, it seems Disney is testing the market (and recouping daily pass $$$) and DVC, since we are "locked-in" are basically at the mercy of what is available to the general public. We had the gold annual pass for 5 straight years and hoping these would return prior to our September and December 2021 trip. Trying to keep the faith...
