I'm getting really nervous...anyone else? It seems like a lot is getting sold out. I can't wait 3 more days!

I wouldn't worry too much as long as you are flexible on your dates and resorts, you should not have any problem booking the free dining. DH and I went last year and the resort we stayed at was not very busy, nor were the parks, August/Sept. is hurricane season and it is very hot in Florida then, and most kids are in school that time of the year. We had no problem last year booking a package, I anticipate it will be similar this year.

Good luck!

I guess I am flexible on my resorts but not on my dates. Boyfriend and I cannot miss college classes so we are limited to the last week of August. We are already booked at POP but if I can save money I am going to do it, and right now I'm feeling pretty bummed about not having a Disney Visa Card.

I'm getting nervous. Dh wants the Poly. only. It is where he stayed his first time when he was a kid. So he wants it to bo the first place for our girls.

I think as long as you're flexible with your resort you'll be fine.:thumbsup2

It does sounds as if the values are filling up fast though:scared1: . I've seen several posts saying either POP, ASMusic, and ASMovies were booked with free dining for their dates. You may want to have a Mod picked out as back-up if values are full.

I would think of it as a "pre-sale" for a concert. I am sure not all the rooms are released just like a concert not all the seats are released during a pre-sale for certain credit card holders.

Also, people who are just adding free dining to their exisiting package aren't changing the resorts occupancy level.

I'm not nervous...

We want Wilderness Lodge and from what I read, that doesn't seem to be as popular as the values. (At least not so far) Our dates are flexible too and it looks like people have been able to apply the discount to existing reservations (which we have) without much problem. I think this morning will be the brunt of the hysteria, but after that it should die down and we should all have a better understanding of things once the dust settles.

Hang in there everyone!!

I received this in an email through my TA this morning.

"Disney Visa cardholders are able to start booking today. There are already reports out there of sold out resorts but don’t start worrying about that just yet. There are a certain # of rooms assigned to each “code” and the general public free dining code is different than the Visa code so a new set of rooms will be available on Thursday."

My concern is we have POP preferred room for 9/16 - 9/22. We enjoy the preferred room. I am just hoping we can get it.

That makes me feel a bit better. I was sort of hoping thats how it would be. I mean, it wouldn't really be fair to let the Disney Visa cardholers take all the FD rooms, right? :rolleyes1

I'm getting very nervous :scared: . I have waited to even book a room since we are only going if we can get free dining. Now I'm not sure if I should be trying to book the room I want and hope that they can just add the code on Thursday or just wait. Thursday seems so long away :sad2: .

What I am wondering about is how many Disney Visa people jumped to book today but in a week will experience "buyers remorse" and cancel.(Same question for people booking on Thursday)

We have had our ressies for 6 months (going regardless of FD) airfare is set.

Just my thoughts

People went through this last year. Disney Visa holders were given 3-4 days priority and most everyone that didn't have the Visa were able to get their rooms when regular booking opened up.

Some people even tried to apply for Disney Visa to get instant approval in order to book. If I remember correctly that didn't work to well.

Apparantly Disney did oversell the free dining last year and it may have caused a few problems, hopefully they fixed that this year.

Deluxes I am sure won't be a problem to get into because you have to pay rack rate and those can be up there in price.

Okay...I can stop stressing....atleast a little;) .

Disney allocates rooms to the Disney Visa people separate from the general public.

So yes, "new" rooms will come available on Thursday.

Do we know this for a fact? Or is this what we're assuming? I only ask because in another thread, someone was told by a CM that Thursday people would get "whatever was left over" (or something like that). Is this just another case of CMs reporting contradicting things?

I have the Disney Visa so I'll be booking today, but just thought I'd ask for non-cardholders in case they're noticing the different info as well.

Remember Disney is HUGE... so even though it may seem like tons of people are booking, remember all those other people that have no idea about free dining....
Also, I mentioned in another thread...
Last year our friends booked free dining right at the end of the promotion (in June) and they had no problem what-so-ever, so I'm sure there will be plenty PLENTY of rooms available with free dining :thumbsup2

Mary:

I'm pretty confident about that. Different codes = Different room allocations.

I want the poly too but as of today they only offer gv rooms and we have lv room! I am hoping that more will open up on thursday. The cm I talked to was not so nice and he even said, I don't even know if they will offer this on thursday. I think he was a little cranky!:scared1:

I don't want to be misquoted here..

Poly may NOT be offered to the general public AT ALL.

Different codes = Different Room Blocks can mean that some resorts that are available today.. may simply NOT be available on Thursday AND vice versa.

Just an FYI.
