Any hope for us Thursday people?

I know this has been said already, but my TA told me the same as others. She said she just hung up with Disney and their will be more rooms released Thursday...So, I am so happy. Can't wait. So here is a little pixiedust: for all who are waiting till Thursday!

I hope the Poly is available on Thursday!!! That's our absolute favorite and although I am flexible with the resort, my 5 year old has announced that if she doesn't get to stay at "Lilo's House" this year she isn't going!!!!! :rotfl2:

Thats good! I will be up at 6:45 again on Thursday to make the call. Hopefully I wont be on hold for more than the 30min I was this morninig.

I am taking care of someones ressies and I cant put thier ressie on my visa. I just hope that Pop is avalible for them on Thursday with free dining. I wish I could put their ressie on my card now but alas I can not.

I wish this was over but I have to play the waiting game again:hourglass

I don't want to be misquoted here..

Poly may NOT be offered to the general public AT ALL.

Well I don't know about this year, but last year it was available. I stayed there on the FDP and I am not a Disney Visa holder. In fact I had booked POP, then weeks went by and I switched it to the Poly.

I am nervous! This is the first time for us going in September and hoping for free dining. We are currently booked at WL. Does anyone know what the code will be for Thursday's callers? Or where/when it will be released?

Since it's a general public code -- you probably won't need it when you call in. We'll have it posted here on the DIS as soon as we know what it is in the top thread of this forum. "Everything We Know About Free Dining"

Ok, CanadianGuy, you are pretty much the expert, so here's the question: Is there anything new this year for free dining?? I haven't seen any posts yet indicating that there are new requirements (more then 3 night minimum, more then 1 day base tix, etc). Also I haven't seen anything yet on if the All Star Family Suites have FINALLY been included in free dining??

So, is there anything new this year??

Thanks for your help, the DIS is the best in large part b/c of all of its great moderators!! :thumbsup2

I heard a rumor of 4 nights.. but I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere yet. Three nights seems to be the rule.

AS Family Suites are NOT included. That's confirmed.

Otherwise.. I don't see anything new.

OK...stupid question maybe. I see some people here talking about putting the deposit on the Disney Visa when they book. Is that just for that promo, or will the general public have to pay the deposit at the time of booking too? Or we will still have that 7 or 14 day hold (or whatever it is) to pay for the deposit? I may not be able to do it on Thursday and was counting on putting it on hold and then calling back topay the deposit.

Thanks Knox, you always make me feel so much better about all of these free dining questions, how do you do it?!!? :)

Remember Disney is HUGE... so even though it may seem like tons of people are booking, remember all those other people that have no idea about free dining....

Yes, being on the DIS makes it seem like there are tons of people booking, but we are just a fraction of the people who go to WDW.

What view was your room at the Poly?

It was GV, but I had asked for that, so I don't know if LV was available or not.

The 14 day courtesy hold should still work for you if you call to book on Thursday. You can confirm that with the CM at the time to be sure.

Sorry if this has been asked already...are we for sure that Thursday is when all of us without a Disney Visa can book free dining?

Yes. Posted as such on the parent site to the DIS - WDWINFO.COM, also on Mousesavers and others.

I am so grateful that I was able to book our vacation today, now I don't have to play the waiting game anymore...WHEW.

That said, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about for those having to wait until Thursday as long as you're flexible with dates and have "back ups".

I do want to address one point though. Although I whole-heartedly agree that the DIS only represents a small number of Free Dining vacationers, and DIS'ers with Disney Visa's even a smaller number, I was SHOCKED by the hold times this morning and the massive volume already.

I did not anticipate such a major influx of calls from Disney Visa holders today, don't ask me why, just didn't. But hold times of over 2 hours, and sold out times makes me wonder:confused3

I guess it's the smaller travel window and the growing popularity of this offer may be the reason, but lemme just say..I'm glad mine's done and I'm sure everyone will get the vacation/deal that is just right for them!!! GOOD LUCK all!!!

I hope they really do release more rooms Thursday so those of us without a Disney Visa can book too :)

I called today regarding this month's vacation (had to check on something) and while the CM was waiting for the info to pop up, I asked how things were going with the free dining today (just to kill the dead silence, lol) and the CM said she wished that people would stop reading message boards, because a lot of people are calling asking "will there still be rooms Thursday?" in addition to the people calling to actually book. I couldn't resist, I asked, "Sooo, will there be availability for free dining Thursday when I call?" (I really do want to book Thursday using free dining), and she wasn't that amused :confused3 She just said "we have over 23,000 rooms, YES there will be rooms available" :confused3 Well, I wasn't inquiring about ROOMS, I was inquiring about rooms with the free dining :p which I think she grasped because she then added, "I am sure when you call back there will be something for you"

Those Cms are getting a workout today

One person posted here much earlier today saying they were able to get it for 3 nights. I really can't remember which thread, though...there's so many of them now.
