Any HH favorite areas & why?

Just wondering what people's preferences are with regard to location at HH. We'll be there in just over 2 weeks and would love to hear some opinions/pros/cons about different unit locations. Thanks!

Do a search on this board and you will likely come up with a few threads answering this very question. Also, if you take a look at the resort map, you will see that the resort itself is not all that large, so nothing is really very far away.

That being said, we have stayed all over the resort over time. It really depends on what you want. If you have kids, a poolside location might be what you want. (If you don't have kids, you may want to avoid it at all costs! ) The marsh and harbor views are beautiful. The interior views are also wonderful, as you feel like the whole resort is your back yard.

Also, if you're close to the pool/activity center, you're farther away from Big Murggie's den and the shuttle stop for the beach house. (And vice versa.)

Really, there are no "bad" locations. Once you get there you'll understand better.

I don't know what size villa you're interested in, but for a 1 BR, my favorite is the top floor of the lodge, overlooking the marsh/inlet. My favorite one so far was #1132, for this view:

We'll have a 1-BR - and boy does the view from 1132 look nice!

We've only been there a couple times, but this year we were in the lodge, on the second floor, #1128 I believe (1bdrm). We loved the dolphins coming into the marsh and marina right under our balcony. We could also see both sunrise and sunset from our balcony.

We just got back last fri from HHI! We had a studio in the lodge #1124! It was our 2nd trip and both times we have had this room (3 years apart)! It does have some great views! We loved the location (though a ways from the pool, we had bikes though!) We did see a dolphin!

Wow, Rob and Simba's Mom, what beautfiul views!!!!!

We just got back yesterday and were in 1221. We liked the location very much although your views rocked way better than ours!!! However being connected to the lodge with elevator access was key for us as our youngest is still in a stroller for longer walks. Of course lugging the luggage up was much easier on DH with the elevator too. Next year we'd definetly like to stay in the lodge or building 12 again just because of the elevator. Our kids also loved being near Big Murgie's/check-in area as we routinely got a cup of lemonade after our beach jaunt in the morning. We found the walk to the pool/pier/community area quite easy. I mean when you are used to walking the lengths of the BWV halls, the walk to the HHI pool is nothing!
