We can't decide whether to eat breakfasts in our villa when we're at HHI. :confused3 Is there anywhere nearby that serves a really nice breakfast? In WDW, Fresh (Dolphin) is probably our favorite place for breakfast, but the fact that it's buffet doesn't matter, just the foods it offers.
This will be our first time at HH, but the majority of our time will be spent in Savannah, and if need be, we'll go for breakfast in that city if we don't have it in the villa. :thumbsup2
TIA to anyone who's an HHI restaurant pro!:flower3:

We rarely go out to breakfast..usually eat breakfast in villa, but we have tried Hilton Head Diner which is right next door to shelter cove. Its your typical diner with really hearty breakfast and very good omelettes, waffles. Its open 24hrs and also has lunch dinner menu, but we prefer to have dinner at the wonderful seafood ones we constantly revisit. I have also had great bagels at the bagel shop on the main drag across the street from the resort. great cream cheese blends.

Don't miss Signe's bakery. It's certainly not fancy or buffet, but the food is delicious. Rachel Ray ate there on the Travel Channel.

Ask at the front desk. I can't remeber the name, but they told us about a great pancake house that was just down the road. Nothing fancy, but it was really good food and there was a buffet option.

Thanks to all of you. :flower3:
Now I definitely have an excuse NOT to have breakfasts in the villa!:rotfl2:

(Although, in WDW, we often do. :goodvibes )

Some of the hotels have breakfast buffets as well. I know the Marriott and Westin both have huge "spreads". And don't forget to try the breakfasts at Tide Me Over, the takeout window near the Mercantile. Their breakfast sandwiches are wonderful!

:thumbsup2

I think that Gruby's serves breakfast as well. We usually go there for lunch (love it!) but I bet their breakfast is just as wonderful. Located in the strip mall that has Fresh Market in it (turn right out of DVC onto Hwy. 278); in the strip mall they are located next to Player's Club.

Is that the place called "Stacks"? I've never been there, so I have no idea how it is. But it's one of those places we keep meaning to try.

We eat breakfast every day in the villa, except for a trip each year to Signe's. We bring their pound cakes home for family and friends, and also store some in the freezer to pull out and enjoy well after the trip is over.

We ate at Stack's on our last trip. Portions were quite ample; quality was pretty poor overall. We will not be returning to that restaurant.

We eat at Stackers every time we visit HHI. My DH LOVES the Crème Brulée French Toast. It is really rich and really good. I get other items and the food is fair. Everytime we go, there is always a line! I think the service is hit or miss. We've had really good service and some o.k. service.

Enjoy!

Stacks is ok, its nothing special, just your typical any-town breakfast joint.

I would go again, but its not that one special breakfast place one may be looking for.
