Why not book a Dolphin Swim at Discovery Cove and in the evening eat at a nice restaurant. Not having a car restricts your location but Charley's Steakhouse at Goodings Plaza I-Drive is excellent.

Best wishes

Excellent suggestion on the dolphin swim FloridaLol!

I really like Charlie's too, terrific food, buzzy atmospehere. Leave room for the ridiculously big desserts !

If you'd like a slightly more calm, romantic atmosphere, you might want to try the California Grille, at the Disney Contemporary Resort. Very nice decor, a splendid view over MK, and the food, well, that was fantastic. Not the usual huge portions - whether thats good or bad depends on your appetite - and the quality was excellent

It's not cheap for the US - but as I recall the bill for 3 courses and drinks for 2 still came in at only around the $100/120 mark both times I visited, not hard to spend that kind of money here on far more inferior restauarants - but it's definitely the kind of place you'd reserve for special occasions just like an anniversary. They have something of a reputaton for the quality of their wine cellar too I believe.

Here's a link to the DIS reviews page for the California Grille :

A taxi shouldn't be expensive from I-Drive either.

Hope this helps ! :D

Anniversary dinner ideas?

Charley's Steak House is great, but now that there's a Ritz Carlton open in Orlando....go directly there for dinner in their fine dining restaurant. Not cheap, but it may well be the best meal you will ever have!

Last year, my wife and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, FL ....it was one of the most beautiful dining rooms I had ever been in....service was impeccable....we ordered the 8 course "chef's mystery menu"...it was about $92/person but really worth it (we don't drink so our total bill was around $200 plus tip) and quite fun wondering what was going to show up next...trust me on this one, no better place for a special meal than an RC Hotel!

PS: The fine dining restaurant at RC's usually have names like "The Dining Room" or "The Restaurant".
