I'm trying to plan a camping trip for the last weekend in July. Thinking of Prince Gallitzen State Park or Ricketts Glen, but am open to other ideas. I'd like someplace picturesque (I take TONS of pics) and probably leaning more towards a state park since they are cheaper than a private campground.

Any Ideas????? :confused3

Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes Delaware (next to the Cape May ferry terminal). Nice campsites (outer ones seem to be larger), very nice beach with lifeguards, snack shop, etc. small nature center, etc.

Just outside your geographic range but probably still close to you - Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont MD. It's just off Route 15, south of Gettysburg. Pretty and rolling, nice lake with swimming and fishing, waterfalls. You're also very close to Catoctin Mountain (run by the NPS) which gives you additional hiking and scenery.

there is always Knoebels Grove, campground and amusement park all in one...

I second the vote for Knoebels! Lots of yummy food to choose from if you get tired of cooking yourself.
