We loved our castle view at the Poly and are wondering if there's any possibility of a view from GF main building--we are currently in a deluxe room. Anyone have any pix of these rooms? I know there are two types and didnt' know if we had a better shot of a castle view from one type over the other. Any help is appreciated!

:)

I don't believe so. The only rooms that do have a Castle view are the rooms that end in 01 - 09, and of course the Roy and Walt Disney suites. All the other rooms, are too far away for that view. The view is the same as Gasparilla's as these rooms are directly over Gasparilla's and look down the Marina towards the Castle. All the rooms in that hallway, are regular concierge rooms. I beleive all the deluxe concierge rooms either have a view of the grounds or of the theme pool, wedding pavilion and Poly. Also, the MK view rooms from the Main Building only see the Castle and nothing else, because it is blocked by other buildings. If you want a truly expansive MK view, you'll either have to book a regular LV room (those views are AMAZING) or stay at the Poly again.

I was wondering the exact same thing. We have stayed at the SL building before, but I know I want to try for the RPC on our next trip, and wondered what the MK views were from the main building. Thanks for the info. Now I don't know which to do...an amazing MK view, or RPC. Just a personal preference I guess!

Definately!! As one who has stayed in RPC and had the MK view and has stayed in a Lagoon view room at GF, if I had to choose between the two, Lagoon view would win EVERY time!!!

None of the deluxe view RPC rooms have a direct view of the MK. We were in a standard room, #4404 that had a beautiful view of the castle. These views are going to be on either the 3rd floor or the 4th floor and the room numbers run from 4301-4310 or 4401 to 4410. For what it's worth, I would not spend the extra money on the deluxe room. We found that we really didn't spend a lot of time in our room. We had 5 people, 2 adults, 2 teens and a 7 year old in the standard and we were just fine. We basically only used it for sleeping, although at night, it was beautiful to sit on the balcony and watch the castle change colors. The rest of the time, if we were in the resort, we were usually relaxing in the lounge. There is so much space, with tables, sofas and tv to watch. Many times we had the place to ourselves. It's like a big living room.

Here is a link for pictures of the different style room layouts http://www.the-grahams.net/gf/rooms.shtml . You'll just need to decide which is a higher priority for you, the view or the extra space.

Thank you for all the help. We actually didn't choose the deluxe, it was the only room type available with the postcard rate. We could also only get 1 night--our last. I will keep calling and try to get the regular concierge since I know we would like the castle view (we are at AKL concierge the 1st 4 nights). I'm sure the resort will be so wonderful at the holidays (we have only been in summer) that we will enjoy our short and sweet stay regardless! Thanks again!

We were in an end lagoon view room at Sago Cay and the view was spectacular. (See my tag!) But you can sit down at the tables down by the marina with a Mickey bar and enjoy the same view each night...just not in your PJ's..

hi, can anyone tell me what type rooms are on the 5th floor main bldg? only suites? thanks in advance

Wow~!Tammi! Thanks for that link! Great info!::yes::

Janet2k has stayed in one of the deluxe concierge rooms, but it was the one with the roll-in shower and it faced the main pool/courtyard. She is another DISer who has a wealth of GF RPC information, as well as ducklite.
