Not sure how recent you need- but ours was Sept and was Tower Hill. Right now is still hurricane seaon so not everyone is writing.

What happens if you are closing on a house and a named storm forms way out in the Atlantic? It could be two weeks until it gets close to the US. I'd assume that you can't close without insurance. What happens? Since it hasn't snowed yet here in MI, I'll say that I'd rather deal with snow than hurricanes. Ask me again when I'm digging through several feet of snow.

Each company can have different rules. Some will bind when there isa named storm in the Atlantic but won't if your area is under a watch.

Anyway, I have Castle Key, which is owned by Allstate.

We also have Tower Hill.

Had Tower Hill, but they recently cancelled us. They claimed there were cracks in our walls and even sent us pictures of the cracks. We were up north so we called our broker in Orlando who got us a policy with Florida Family. Earlier this month I went down for a visit and found that Tower Hill had messed up and got the wrong house, there were no cracks on our house. Florida Families financial rating is better so it worked out better for us.
