Any Fellow Wii Fit Users?

The EA game coming out on the 19th will have activities that use the balance board. should run about $60. it's called EA Active.

I do a minimum of 30 mins. and sometimes will go an hour, either all at once or in two sessions. That is total activity time...it of course takes longer when you count the body test and switching between the games.

Cool on the EA thing...I'll be watching for it.

Another Wii Fit user here! We got ours last Christmas, and I used it a few weeks but now I'm really using it! Since about April 21...

I love the balance games, looks like I'm the only one who likes soccer! :confused3 I got a perfect score on the first level, not yet on the advanced!

Every morning I get up around 6 and do 30 minutes of the aerobic activity. I start with the easier hula hoop, then basic step (my warm up). Then I do the rythmic boxing for ten minutes, then a short run, then advance step. After that I have a few minutes needed to hit my 30 so I do whatever I want - hula hoop, more step, etc.

I also do the body test every day. I like to track my weight, even though some say you shouldn't weigh daily. It helps me to see where I messed up, when my body is messed up (i.e. bloated), etc. It's a really good motivator, for me!

Funny thing is wii calls me Obese, on that scale. I told DH my goal is to be Overweight! Ha ha! I think when it says "that's overweight" I'll be so happy I cry because I'm not Obese! :rotfl2:

Does anyone else have a problem with the steps not registered sometimes on both the basic and advanced step? It drives me CRAZY! It seems to happen most often with the sideways steps. I'll be going along perfectly and then suddenly it will skip, even tho' I know my foot was in the right position at the right time. That's been my only real annoyance with the system.

I don't think the Wii scale uses the electricity. It seems to do a BMI calculation based on your weight and the other info. you entered (height, age, etc.). That means it's probably not the most accurate measure, but you also don't have to worry about electricity.

Thank you for confirming that, I thought that an equation was used to calculate BMI. Even if electricity was used, I didn't think that 4 AA batteries would provide that much :lmao:.

I have this problem and it annoys me sooooo much!!! I usually have the problem with the sideway step too.

I have been trying to do at least 30 minutes of cardio on the wii fit. My usual routine is advanced step (5 min), super hula hoop (6 min), expert boxing (10 min), 2x reg. hula hoop (70 sec. each), and advanced step (5 min). It adds up to 34 minutes. I love the hula hoop, but the 6 minutes is sometimes painful . After the cardio I can do the fun stuff like balance games and yoga.

My routine is usually to start off with the advanced snow skiing for a few rounds, then do a couple of rounds of the balance game where you have to tip the balls into the holes. Then it's a few rounds of advanced step and boxing or jogging for cardio, followed by basic step to start my cool down. Then I end with a few yoga poses. I really need to do some of the strength training, but I've gotten myself in a comfortable rut.

I thought it was just something I was doing wrong...it is usually on the sideways step that I have problems too.

I was a bad girl and skipped using my Wii yesterday so I know it will chide me for that today. It was a busy day with clients and meetings, but today things have calmed down. I'll give myself a good extra-long workout this evening with lots of boxing and step aerobics.

That used to happen to me, but I think I've got the hang of it now. My biggest pet peeve, and it usually happens during boxing, is that the wii losses its connection with the balance board and I have to turn it off and on again. Then of course my boxing is all messed up! :headache:

I found this online, looks helpful! http://www.wiifitroutine.com/

From the link, a shaded gray box will appear in the middle with different scrolling information. When it scrolls "routine generator", a green box will appear. Click on it. On the right side are boxes for you to pick different types of workout you'd like.....and it'll spit out a routine for you. I'll try mine tomorrow! Hoping all the ones that it picks for me are unlocked......

Very cool site!

How long are y'all finding that your batteries last? I've noticed that the hand-held controllers are "missing" my movements sometimes, and I'm wondering if that means the batteries are getting low. The board seems less sensitive too, especially on the snow skiing. Will it give any onscreen battery warning, or do they just go out?

Has that happened to anyone else? I have never seen that.

Thanks for the website...I've got to get ds to get the Wii hooked back up. We took it to WDW for him and he hasn't gotten it set back up.

Hast that happened to anyone else? I have never seen that.

I haven't had mine lose the connection from the board. I also haven't had an issue with the batteries, ds usually keeps those changed.

The Sports Active Personal Trainer is out this Tuesday. It's 59.99. I see that both Toys R Us and Best Buy are giving away a $10 gift card with it. I suspect that's because Wii would not let anyone sell at a lower price.

It includes a leg strap and resistance band. The leg strap is pictured around one leg, velco'd, holding the end to what may be the numchuk.

Wonder if this will sell out or if I can wait to hear reviews?

I'm quite anxious to read reviews of the new trainer package too!

I toook a few days off and was scolded by my Wii today. I'm still waiting for reviews of that new package. Hopefully they'll be coming out soon now that people hopefully have it and are using it.

Thanks for the link. I think I'm going to put that on my shopping list.
