Count us in too!!

This is my first time posting and very excited - I love this site - so informative.

We are making our first trip to WDW on August 30 - Sept. 6. We are staying offsite at the HIFS and then moving to POFQ on Sept. 3. I can't wait!!!!

Was at PO/FQ from Aug 9th to the 17th...but for those of you that are concerned...Let me tell you, having been there during Hurricane Charley....there is no safer place to be than Disney!!!

The Parks all closed at 1 p.m and we were confined to our rooms from 7 p.m...but despite the occasional wind outside...we heard nothing!

We never lost power and there was no problems at all.

The next day outside..there was obvious damage with trees down all over and much debris. The pool was closed and the buses were not running to the parks until lunchtime...but that was the only thing affected.

We felt very safe and protected and ate Pizza and drank wine in our room whilst watching the Olympic opening ceremonies on T.V!! It was really fine....

Well I'm leaving tomorrow, so yeahhhhhhhhhh. Sounds like everything at Disney is pretty much back to normal, so I am hoping we will have a great time as usual. Bye for now!!!!!!!!!
