Hello all.

First year without free dining, staying off site and I'm wondering how much I will need for food per day. As the title says we are a family of 6.

We don't plan on eating On Site but will be eating at the nicer of restaurants ie Cheesecake Factory, Logans, Mannys, Bahama Breeze etc...

I would have thought we would do a breakfast say IHop, Cracker Barrell, dennys etc and then just an evening meal.

Your experience would be hugely appreciated

Annette :)

I would say at least $200-$225 a day. Breakfast at those places will run you $50-$60 for 6 people and at least $100-$120 at dinner. We're a family of 5, and I usually always budget $200 a day for food.

We usually average $100/day for 3 adults.
We don't eat breakfast, eat lunch in a park, dinner offsite at places you quoted.
Some days are a lot less if eating somewhere like Sweet Tomatoes using a BOGOF coupon, other days over if eating at Cheesecake factory.

We are a family of 5, we eat breakfast at the villa and have 1 character breakfast. We don't want to spend the morning at breakfast. Also our kids, who are still small don't eat big breakfasts so it is a bit of a waste of money (the 3 year old eats 4 weetbix but that is all she will eat for breakfast so going out we need to feed her first anyway lol)

We have a shared lunch as generally we find it is too much food and then a nice dinner.

We spend about on average $150.00.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Kirsten

Also I am sure you know your own family, but generally kids don't over eat so while adults will be full enough to last a day from breakfast to an evening meal without eating much in between, mine always want a lunch.....

We're a family of 5 (4 over 18s and a very greedy 15 year old!), and I'm pretty sure we usually budget $125 a day for food. We'll usually have breakfast at Dennys/iHOP/Perkins etc., a snack and drink at lunch in the parks and then go out somewhere for dinner :)

We are a family of 5 and we usually budget $150 a day. We tend to get a light breakfast at the hotel (cereal/toast/fruit) then eat lunch at the parks then go offsite to Logan's/TGIs for dinner. Hope that helps

We usually budget around $200 /$250 a day for a family of 6.
We will eat breakfast of cereal and donuts in the villa on average every 3 days we will have breakfast out, lunch at the parks but its 3qs shared as they are too big then dinner out at TGI's Logan's etc we have 3 boys aged 8 8 11 and they can't go from breakfast till dinner I think you will have to factor in some late lunches, for emergencies as depending on weather etc you may need a break in the cool!

Not all the park eateries are expensive you could do a QS at seasons Epcot and have a nice meal, does not feel like a typical QS,
Plus some TS places are good value for lunch, you could do a late lunch some days and then just grab a McDonald's burger king wendys etc for dinner,
